Pretty much been sticking to lings and/or roaches with a few infestors and some drops(if it goes that far) every game. I get my gas a little late(generally) and invest all of it in upgrades and getting to lair/hive for EVEN MOAR UPGRADES! Like 3 of those engagements were won only because i was 1-2 or 2-1 to their 0-0 or 1-0. I've started going armor upgrade first, making about 70% roaches 30% lings(if I'm not sure what they are doing yet, see the clip of zealot/colossus). When +1 is finishing I drop a second evo and get 1 missle and 1 melee while upgrading to lair. I've started doing this to give me more versatility... I hate getting +1 missle and being like "well if I make lings they don't get the upgrade I invested in herpderp" But yeah... unless they get a lot of siege tanks, I go heavy ling... or I do what I did in the taldarim alter clip(except that one was a little sloppy) and have like 60% lings come from the front, 20% frop the top or bottom, and 20% from the back. You can see the ones from the back come on the minimap and when my screen changes views theres like 30 lings attacking marines XD | ||
