I have been considering a craft project (aside from my Nidalee costume) for this summer.
I thought it would be fun to make League of Legends shirts for myself and my buddies. I already have a few requests and a ton of ideas!
The general format of the shirts would be to have an image in the front, and the character's name, a smaller image and a quote on the back. I plan on making these out of fabric paint on colored t-shirts.
Here are a few examples (done hastily in paint, they're just for the concept, no critiquing my scribbles!!!):
![[image loading]](http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o4/GinRyuChan/alistar.png)
![[image loading]](http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o4/GinRyuChan/blitzcrank.png)
![[image loading]](http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o4/GinRyuChan/warwick.png)
So, what do you guys think? Good idea?
I think it would be fun to make a whole batch of them, but I'd need people to pay me for supplies. Perhaps I should set up a commission process if they seem in demand?
I guess I should make some to see how they look!
Also, anyone have ideas for a Nidalee shirt? As much as I love her, I can't think of what good images for her would be!

I do believe you can sell hand-made fan art.
Also, Riot is a chill company, so I'm sure they wouldn't have issue.

She should stay MIA until she gets her stun back!
;p

I played a game against a roaming eve, and one of my teammates died to her, and he started blaming me for not calling MIA. So for the next like 10 minutes, I was constantly typing "Eve mia", "Still mia" "Nope, no sign of her yet" "Nowhere to be seen" "Mia all day" "Yep, even MIA" "Eve mia, better drink my own piss". Still came out evenly farmed somehow.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. TheHandsomeNerd isn't allowed to use use licensed Blizzard shit, all of their references have to be vague, inside jokes, etc. And, no company is chill when they could potentially be making money off of you.

There was some gal on TL who sold some baneling plushies, right? I would guess that if it's small scale then the company wouldn't be that quick to shut it down.

Front: Double Rainbow Back: "What does it mean?"
People would either be confused and wonder if you are gay (or double-gay?) but of course of few LoL player would get it.

I think most people would think it's from the video, but maybe with "Lux" added...

I'd buy a Cho'gath or Kayle shirt.

Well in europe most countries dont use it since english is not the main language. Therefore the simpler term missing is more mainstream.

I'm sure they aren't going to care about 5-20 shirts I make, mostly for my friends.
It's basically wearable fanart, so I am almost 100% sure there wouldn't be an issue. ESPECIALLY, if I'm not making a profit from it.

When you do make them, you should take pictures and ask to be on the summoner showcase. It could be like a 5v5 irl.

If they wanted to work on the edges of the law, they might sue you in order to utilize what is in all practicality a form of collateral estoppel. While their use of your case certainly does not fit perfectly into the already non-traditional concept of offensive, non-mutual collateral estoppel, assuming the appropriate jurisdiction utilizes such concepts, the rationale behind it might be useful to them.
And Riku, don't get me started by saying "-_-, it's not really CE!!!" I know it's not. It's the idea that I'm trying to get at.
In other words, they might go after you (an extreme case) so that when they sue people making money off mass produced tshirts they can say "we won against Riku, a 21 year old girl making tshirts for her friends, this case is easy."
Precedent is what's really at issue. But I mention CE because when they mention your case, they've essentially won all future cases.
You ever wonder why movie companies sue poor grandmas who downloaded Will Smith's "Hitch" then erased it the next day? It's not because they're stupid. They want the tough cases. You'd be Riot's granny.
Of course, you can't forgot how the concepts of pendent jurisdiction and the Brennan's sliding scale test might be detrimental to the purported parties.
