Blog a quest to master's?

Now that I finally have the time to get serious about getting better in Starcraft II and I've been thinking about doing a little project with it. Blogging and streaming as I try and make my way from the Silver league all the way up to Masters. Review my replays or strats in my blog as I work on getting better so that people can comment on them and provide insight or other newbies can try and learn from the mistakes I make to help themselves get better.

What do you think? Waste of time? Interesting? Perhaps I'm a total noob? This is in the wrong section for this?

Let me know, or flame me for it.

Some good comments from you guys, looks like I'll need to put in a lot of hardwork but it doesn;t hurt to try does it?

Will hopefully start with a good blog post soon to get it started, right now getting stream setup and what not (justin.tv/zerodragoon).

I think it would be interesting if you have random people (of higher skill than you) who post in this blog guest in your stream and kind of coach you. Then it would definitely not be a waste of time and it could be pretty interesting. It'd almost be like 12 weeks with the pros except its like 12 weeks with the amateurs?

That is something I would definitely enjoy happening with this and was kind of floating around as one of my ideas. It is a matter of getting people would like to volunteer to do it.

I think those blogs can be interesting and I at least have interest in reading them.

However. It has to be unique. To be fair, a lot of competing blogs are simply not very well written. If yours is, then that itself might be good enough to stand out and to be worthwhile for a lot of people to follow. Other stand out points will rely more on hard work and less on natural writing ability. Hard work is required to make it. It could be you commenting on video of own games, it could be good analysis of your own journey as you improve.

Either way, good luck. I hope you stick with it and make it into a good read.

Blogging and posting reps is a great way to get advice, but tbh streaming is a waste of your computer resources, you might get some viewers to start, but with the amount of streams on TL you won't keep many

Personally I enjoy when people blog about their day on SC2 and such so I would definatly read it. However I have to agree with kainzero it does seem like people make these and then lose their drive to make it to masters. Bascially seems like they get caught up in the moment and think they can do it, then realize how much work making it to masters really is.

I should make a blog series about trying to get to masters from high diamond where I mostly play masters people anyway. That would be fun. ^^
