Hey guys. So In a few days I'm leaving for a big roadtrip with my family all around northwestern US and British Columbia. We're going to be driving for like 5 hours a day and I need things to do. I'm going to have a laptop with me so I have some ideas for stuff to do but I dont think I can fill out a giant road trip with it. I'm looking for suggestions on things to do.

Things i had in mind are stuff like:

Any good movies to get before I go to watch
Any Ideas for something to program
General things to do while driving for extended periods of time

Books, Movies, Phone, Learn to play Guitar if you don't know already. There's millions of things to do, but that also is based entirely upon yourself. Since we really don't know what you like, it's hard for any of us to give advice.

Also how long is this said roadtrip? 'Cause depending on that, is things you can bring that will keep you entertained for a certain amount of time.

I'm going to be crammed in a small space with 5 other people so stuff like playing guitar isn't possible. I'm just looking for ways that other people kill like 5-6 hours at a time.

As for more about me I'm a nerdy white kid that plays starcraft. I'm going to go into computer science in university. I'm in high school.

Also my laptop is good enough to game on so any good offline games that take alot of time are good to.

The roadtrip is from calgary down to seattle for a few days then back up to vancouver island for a few days then back to calgary. Its all about 35 hours of driving.

Download a lot of TV Series really such as Firefly + the movie Serenity if you haven't seen them. Best Sci-Fi show ever and if you keep craving something like it then I suggest Battlestar Galactica.

Play some like Balder's Gate or something on your laptop, take's up a good amount of time for me when I go on road trips.

id get stuff like standup comedy you can all listen to...
i dont know how one would play baldurs gate style games on a trackpack in a crowded car, doesnt seem too fun to me
also battery life ?

I can plug it into my car so battery life isn't a problem. Also how its going to work is im going to be int he back in my own row with luggage next to me but ill be on the right side so i can set a hard mouse pad on the cup holders.
I'm also interested in doing some programming but i cant think of anything to code. If you want something coded or have any cool ideas I'd like to hear em.

i dont know what people can code...
all i can think of is when people make stuff like a calculator for a particular thing like a BMI fitness calculator or something

This is a good thread for me too haha.. I'm going on a camping/road trip with some friends. We plan on listening to some chill music, play some card games, smoke some bowls, not sure if you're into that but we're pretty much chillin and listening to music every time we smoke. Probably watch some videos on youtube. Just be creative I suppose. Well have fun!
