## Masters & Knocked out by a platinum
In my last blog entry I achieved masters league after a long hard fought fight and plenty of laddering. It's a funny thing when you lose in the first round to a platinum and suddenly find yourself not so fricking impressive. Lesson to be learned here, don't underestimate your opponents and know that shakura's plateau is never close position anymore. That kinda contributed to my own demise. But that's the nature of nerves. Afterwards I talked to the guy. He wasn't really platinum and actually practiced with a master zerg that I know. Huge bummer but because I went in with a clear head and NO expectation it didn't ruin my night. Instead it took me further in the direction of bettering myself instead of cursing my poor play.
I lost that round to a stalker with heavy sentry. I need to figure out how to deal with this kind of well executed pushes. WFrom what I understand burrow roaches is the best way (only?) to deal with this. It seems to come before larger hydra numbers. I also did not take my ramp which would have served as a better defensive position to block with spinecrawlers (I keep calling them spinestalkers wtf?).
## Battlestar Galatica
HOLY SHIT I JUST WROTE THIS BLOG ENTRY WHILE WATCHING WITH A HALF EYE ON TEH SEASON 1 of BATTLESTAR GALATICA. Holy shit what a twist.
## What's after masters league? There's such a huge difference between a high caliber player in masters and the ones found in the diamond. Builds are more precise and well refined. Execution and micro becomes more second nature and therefore races such as terran and protoss seem more balanced. Getting kept in the dark for 5-6 minutes then dieing to a very strong push because you had to guard yourself against dark templars and air play seems frustrating. I'm glad they introduced larger maps even if the games can be frustrating from the shadows.
I still don't have any idea what kind of goal I want to set after masters. I kinda lost the will to play and am now just massing games in League of Legends. It's a different game and you can't very well influence other players when playing in solo queue. I don't have enough friends that play the game to mount a full 5v5 team and even then I'm afraid my hot temper might scare them away or make them think badly of me.
## London in August
I'm going to London with my brother to explore the city. Does anyone have any recommendation for what we should be seeing in England?
