I am just here making my first blog on what an experience this has been for me thus far. But, before we can begin that I must say and introduce myself. My name is Daniel and from the start of my younger days I was playing video games since the Genesis. From there it progressed computer games like StarCraft and BW, to SeriousSam, CS:S, and other games. Growing has been a trip for me also, living with a divorce family with both of them basically selling their houses just to have custody of me was a joke really. After the long custody fight I decided to live with my dad just have a better stability in my life instead of moving from house to house. But, soon that didn't change from there we moved three times during my high school years were still I was passively playing video games whenever my dad would allow it.
Entering my first years of high were pretty interesting. That was the year where I first started to delve into computers a lot more. Learning about the parts and how does this and that work. Still occasionally would play BW or watch a video of Bisu kicking sAviOr's ass lol. But, besides all of that I always wanted to do things that people told me that wasn't viable or that I couldn't do. Like for example take this in consideration. My parents both didn't understand why I collect cards from Pokemon to Magic the Gathering cards. Later down the road I did. I started to play in tournaments and started to take home prizes and sometimes even some nice cash money. Looking back I always wanted to take some game or some hobby I do to a professional level because that is what I enjoy. I love the community, the people, and the times you can just strike a random conversation with some about any game.
Starcraft 2. Well this is going to be a big one. When I first heard about Starcraft 2 I would follow the videos on the units compositions and what changes they are doing. I thought it was brilliant. Me and this guy back in freshman name Julient would play custom games on the BW servers just having fun. Back then I utterly was afraid to play games against other players because I had to keep track of everything and it was mind blowing. Just sheer fun after a while. From there it just took off. StarCraft 2 got released, so I decided to get a copy for my self like a month later because I didn't have the funds to afford it atm. But, soon after me and this friend jean would just play 2v2 and watch replays about what each other did to win a game, back when we were newbies. ( Silver League).
I guess what I'm trying to portray in this blog is that I pour hours and hours of games into this game with a open mind learning new builds and trying new things. Like I put a average of 10hrs a day into this game and quite frankly I really enjoy this game. I don't mind losing even if its BS on some games. I walk away get a drink and watch the replay on why and how I lost on that game. At the same time I've had both my uncle and my father tell me that this isn't something I can do for the rest of my life. Hell if I can just do this for a couple of years would make me happy. I work with my friends in the Master leagues, sLeEpy and MGBattlekila have been a huge help with me. Right now I sit in Gold Rank 1 fixing to move into platinum/diamond depending if they want to be nice.
Thank you all for having the time to read through this hope you enjoy and I did as well. I might just post more later.
