That happened to a lot of guys in circuit lab last term in my school. Most of the guys copied preliminary works from last year's solutions, but there was a change in one of the questions, it asked comparator circuit instead of clipper. Stupid noob shits solved a non-existing clipper circuit question and all failed that class. World is full of idiots.

Someday, these same people who asked you to copy your homework will be asking you for bigger and grander things. If you're a car salesman, they'll ask for a hookup on the car. If you're a lawyer, they'll ask for some pro bono. And if you're rich, they'll ask for a loan. Second life lesson: Never do business with 'friends'.

Lesson learned, I suppose, and you did catch a small break there (silver lining ><), so yeah...I feel your pain, though something like that has not happened to me exactly.

I wish they allowed group assignments. I enjoy working alone, but with group assignments, I can pair up with people who don't care and don't get in my way. With individual work I often find myself in a similar predicament as you (though this is a social science discipline, so the level of comprehensions appear to be at an all-time low here at my uni.) Sorry to hear about your predicament.

Or at least tell them to use google, since that's the end-all-be-all of solving programming problems.

if they need your solution, it doesn't matter how much you believe them to be capable to do this on their own or at least modify it, they won't because either you believed wrong or it doesn't matter because they are lazy as shit or just too busy, they'll send it in unmodified, almost no exceptions. :/

Next time don't send the programs. You don't have to be ashamed of not helping someone cheat.
