Puppies are pretty much the same they'll all make the same endearing faces give it a few days and you won't even know the difference. Plus you'll have the benefit of knowing you are the full and rightful owner. It's true I know. It's just incredible what one week will do!

Hopefully the owner changes her mind though, she has five other dogs apparently! And this is definitely not the end of our search for a puppy ![]() Well you and your wife should go together, take the dog and talk to the owner. I would suggest to just tell them how you feel and it would definitely show the caring owner that you are / could be. If you go in person and just talk with the owner they may change their mind as it is far more personable than talking over the phone. But in the end its going to be the owners choice; it is the right thing to do and I admire you for that. Even if the outcome isn't favorable, I'm sure any new puppy you and your wife get will warm up to you just as fast as this puppy if not quicker. Nature vs Nurture, the personality of the dog definitely reflects the caring environment you placed it in, and I'm sure the new puppy will be just as loveable too. Best of luck again!

This was rude and ignorant. Please read. Update: We met with the owner Friday evening and they weren't willing to accept any money. At least we know they care for her. The puppy's mother was there (she looked like a border collie mix haha). We know we did the right thing. It's been a couple days and I just haven't had time to update. All I can say is that it sucks. We both miss our little girl a lot and I'll leave it at that. Thanks for all the support and comments on Friday. It helped. You guys are awesome. <3

I'm glad she was happily reunited, and I'm glad to know that whatever pet you eventually get will be well taken care of. And, if the story is any indication, there's no doubt she'll be taken good care of, too. ![]()

It's worth about 300 pounds and they're about a month old, truly adorable.

![]() sue seems like an idiot who shouldn't have a pet if they tied the dog to the post and left it there... could also be someone found it and didn't feel like going to the pound. Maybe I'm jaded, but I've found too many dogs that have been 'lost' by parents who just really didn't want to deal with a dog anymore and other shitty stuff. Lots of morons who lose dogs and straight up shouldn't have one.
