Alright so I'm an aspiring video producer and I haven't had much of a chance in the last year or so to do anything video wise or creatively since I don't have a broadcasting job, I'm done with school and I don't have any software. So I downloaded a 30 day free trial of Adobe Master Suite to try to regain some of my skills and just get back in the flow of things so that when I hopefully get a broadcasting job soon of some kind (production assistant, editor, producer, etc), I'm not re-learning on the go.
Initially I just wanted to make a highlight video of IdrA's IPL season 1 run. I downloaded and edited everything on May 31st and it ended up being like 37 minutes long. So instead, I decided to re-edit everything and make it 3 separate videos. Winners Rounds 1-3, IdrA vs Select Winner's Finals, and the Grand Finals between IdrA and KiWiKaKi (which I'll finish tomorrow)
I had a lot of fun and depending on the reaction (positive or negative), I may make more videos in the future and upload them. I had some problems since I haven't used the latest Adobe Premiere Pro before so if the videos completely suck in your mind, sorry! They should get better with time. Since I'm not sure if I embedded the videos properly or not, I've included youtube links to each video just in-case. So with that said:
I like your videos but I would love to see some effects and maybe music to transition between the scenes, this single picture seems kind of strange to me.
Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't know if people would prefer the commentary or music so good to know going forward. I will try to add more effects in the future, still learning the software so right now about all I figured out was basic transitions but it's definitely something I want to work on.
Hey i love the vids! The only things I can suggest is that you should have some music playing throughout the video. Just something to add some tension/excitement! Awesome vids definitely make more.
I don't have the time to watch it, but just from the first 2 minutes of the first video, you should use shorter clips. Use the climax and a brief buildup to the intense moment then transition to another scene. Basically, aim for something closer to this:
Notice how it is a bunch of very short clips. It will help with your video length issue too. Music and commentary would be ideal.

I added some music from freeplaymusic to the grand finals video as well as different video transitions. I kept the commentary, lowered the volume of the music, and used a different video transition for every step. Obviously they're nothing special yet and the video is still pretty long (didn't feel like re-editing the footage) but I think it's an improvement on the first two offerings. In the future the clips will be much shorter so I apologize for this one still being long. I'll edit the opening post and put it in there after it's done uploading to youtube (which should be in like 2.5 hrs). Just thought I'd let people know, thanks.
Alright so I updated the original post, hope you enjoy. Again sorry for the length, it's kinda long but I feel like it's an appropriate length all things considered for an epic series between the two.

I will try to make one using the replays from MLG and start on it on Monday. Won't be using any commentary since I'm not sure how their VOD systems work (or even where the VODs are at) and how I would go about downloading them.
