EPTFirst of all, I've wanted to become a doctor all my life, but unfortunately it seems that I won't get accepted for the state supported program at neither meds school (I would only need a few points though
), my parents don't have the money to support me on the paid program...and it's impossible to work somewhere and study at a meds school at the same time for obvious reasons. I haven't signed up for any other university, so my only option left is to work for a year to try the exam (for the state supported program) again next May/June.So what do I have at the moment? High school diploma, A1 ("expert") certification in English and B2 ("intermediate" I guess) certification in Spanish.
I don't want to stay at home for a year, and I was thinking...maybe I could work in the US. Why the US, you ask? I happen to have my girlfriend living there
I'm not going to bore anyone with the difficulties or details of a long distance relationship, but long story short, we are the living proof that yes, it's possible. This way, I could be with her for a year and I could get some work experience abroad; but my problem is that I know nothing about the chances and means of getting a job there (in Missouri) as a foreigner, and none of my friends are expert in it either.
So I'm turning to you guys (cuz I know that TL is all powerful) to help me cook up something and to give me some information about the "how"s; how can a foreigner with a high school diploma get a job in the US? All help appreciated
