HI guys!

Recently the 2nd MLCI tourney has been played, which as of yet is the only Hungarian tourney with prizepool. As this suggest too, hungarian sc2 scene isnt in its best shape. The 8 man tournament was a semi invitational: the 8 players were:Fana, Zsakosfrodo, Wordix, Damnosaurus, nfteamPurple, nfteamBreach, nfteamMate, nfteamGeo.

Probably all of these names are unknown for you, here's some background, why. Damo might sound familiar for those who been around, and followed weekly tourneys. The ex W3 player won a couple of Competo and similar small cups some months ago. Those who are really familiar with BW might heard of Mate (was a- iccup) or Breach (b+ i think).

Unfortunately, the real big names did not switch or did not kept playing. DNA was quite known in W3, and Sziky plus Ace are tearing up European BW competitions even nowadays. Gorky and Naib were pretty known as well in BW, and they played beta but did not continue with it.

The price pool was 30k HUF(~160$), 15k HUF (~80$), and 5k (less then 30$) HUF

That being said, here are the reps and some pictures, check them out if you are interested

The finals arent the best games, find out why, in my personal description, i highly recommend Mate vs Breach who are most likely the best P and T currently from here, i dont understand PvT that well but it looked really good.

So, till here lasted the roundup, here's my personal experience:

This was my first LAN, so i was looking forward how it will turn out. The first obstacle being, that i'm not from Hungary, so for me it started out with a 7 hours train road, starting from 2 am, during which i really had a taugh time to get some sleep, being a bad sleeper in general, and being awaken by someone or something every 30 minutes. Breach took me from the train station and we went to some bookstores, so i could get a copy of A song of Ice and Fire, Game of thrones. Too bad non of the stores had it T.T.

I had only a sandwhich, i wrongly assumed there would be some sort of eating opportunity, so it turns out that i found 2 coffes and 2 energy drinks make up for lost sleep and no-lunch as well. I was a bit nervous before my first game as it was suppoused to be a walkover, and knowing my luck i was sure i'd lose when i m this favored. It turned out it was a walkover indeed, i menaged to read my opponent perfectly, even though you could see i was a bit unsure of what sould i do in game 1.

My next opponent was our leader, purple, who's known for cheesing a shittone. Game 1 on Shattered temple, i starved him out in a normal game. G2 was a tank-marin-medavac push from 1 base on Shakuras abusing the lowground for like 15 minutes. I lost that, and menaged to defend his scv-marin allin on Terminus Re to advance to the finals.

The other side of the bracket was a lot more stacked, Damno, Breach and Mate being there. I assmued that Mate wont make it trough those 2 good Ts, so i practiced ZvT all along for like 2 weeks. Needless to say i was shitting my pants, when he tore apart the two terrans and advanced to the finals. As my signature suggests, i'm not particulary happy with ZvP, but there was i against a P in a bo5. Check the reps if you re interested how my panic-mode worked out the builds for me.

After this lucky run we went to celebrate with a couple of beers, then back to Purple's house for some wine and "palinka". The train back was in dawn, so again less then 2 hours of sleep before my journey. When i got home, watched ep5. of Game of Thrones, had a bath made some popcorn, got a beer, got into bad, watched all the TSL games with those, then slept for 12+ hours, and now i'm here, finishing the blog.

I hope some of you found it interesting
gl hf everyone

You should have invited qxc, as far as I know he's in Budapest at the moment.
Then again, he probably would have taken all you prize monies with him to america, that would not have been very thrilling to watch.
