Welp, This weekend is going to be chock full of events here in NYC, and I will make a quick attempt to give some firsthand coverage of what goes on in these 3/4 events:
Friday, May 13th, MLG Studio:
Painuser is going to be doing lessons, and hopefully I'll get in. I sent my Application in fairly early, but there's no guarantees. Worst case scenario, I don't get in, More sleep for...
Saturday, May 14th, Cybercaft NetCafe:
GSL Finals party time! A small group of complete idiots get up and haul ass all the way out to the ass end of Flushing, Queens to watch the GSL Finals on a big screen.
Sunday, May 15th, Cybercraft Netcafe:
A larger group of slightly less stupid people come hang out to watch TSL3 as a group, before we all pack up and get ready for...
Sunday, May 15th, Break Bar and Billiards:
The big TSL3 Finals party run by Teamliquid, With Naniwa and Thorzain on board, as well as any number of Starcraft/TL Dignitaries.
Hopefully, I'll not fuck this up, but if I do, I can only hope it will be buried fast enough for nobody to notice.

Welp, day 1 news, looks like I'm not getting into the MLG things. Sucks. I don't quite get how I DIDN'T get in, as people who signed up time-wise after I did still got in, but that's how it goes.

I didn't even head in, I had no clue if they were going to let people in without being invited, and I was too tired to bother. Sucks I've already managed to bone up 1/4 of the blog.

nah u were better off not going I don't think they were letting people in. They only had 4 computers so they only wanted 8 people but 1 had to leave so they got 9.

After eating at the local shabu-shabu/Pho, We chillaxed and watched some Proleague (Like Men). We're mentally prepping for GSL/Gambling. There's currently 20 dollars total down, 3 players down for Nestea, 2 down for InCa.

Dear lord, we have the most people we've ever had for a finals party. We're at 20 people so far, that's double the biggest turnout we've ever had for a GSL Finals party. the Games are going to start soon, but until then, Me and Zow will get a quick game of BW in. (Like Men)

Aaand, by the end of Game 1, a few MORE people show up, I almost wish I were with the private party with the cool people, it's getting impossible to get a clear line of vision to the TV. Still, we press on.

After 3 games, we're rather disappointed. InCa has been playing sub-par (Read: Terrible), Nontheless, the entire mass of people get to laugh at how bad InCa is playing. Nontheless, Liquor + beer = a rather Drunk Kibibit, but I will press on.

And the GSL Finals are over. We all burst into laughter as we jokingly said he was going to go DTs again... followed closely by Inca going DTs again. And much like we predicted, he proceeded to lose. Disappointing Finals, to be quite honest, It almost felt like Inca didn't belong there. That said, we begin to disperse, but some of us are hanging around for breakfast or somesuch.

To round things out, us stragglers decided to play some BW and SC2 before heading out to breakfast, as we tried to go to IHOP 10 blocks away, however, it wasn't going to open for an obscenely long amount of time, so we headed in the other direction. After meandering around to find that everything is closed at the time, we settle on a dim sum place just off of Main Street, and chat it up, before heading off to the train and heading back home. We put the blame solely on Inca, as had he put up more of a fight, we'd have been done at a time more suitable for breakfast.

Here at the viewing party, we have a fairly decent amount of people, and our betting pool is pretty interesting; All of the big spenders have put down on Naniwa. Meanwhile, ZoW and StorrZerg play out a fairly long BW PvT that extends into the beginning of the first game.
So much tension leading up to the stream crash, but clearly everyone present is emotionally invested. The crowd is getting bigger than you can fit around the screen already.
