Dunno about Chrono Trigger. Even as a big Square fan back in the day, I found the game not that great compared to FFVI and Secret of Mana. | ||

Ever played Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Secret of Mana 2)? It was never released in American, but you can easily find fan-translations online. Although there are 3 characters like in SoM, it's only two player. Thankfully, though, someone also made a hack (that's a bit buggy) to make it 3 player. My friends and I played through it last summer. It was really good. I'd still put SoM slightly above it, but there's a lot of things SD3 did better than SoM. I'd highly suggest checking it out if you're a fan of Secret of Mana. | ||
