MNDR (pronounced M.N.D.R or mandar) is singer, DJ, and producer Amanda Warner. She exploded onto the blog/review scene in 2010 as a cohort on the "Bang Bang Bang" record by Mark Ronson and the Business Int'l (also featuring Q-Tip). Since then she's dropped the four track "E.P.E.", consisting of Fade to Black, I Go Away, Jump In, and C.L.U.B.. 2011 saw the release of the Green Label Sound single "Cut Me Out" (which was remixed by fidget/electro don Hervé).
She's comparable to electropoppy acts like La Roux and Calvin Harris, I suppose. However, her live performances are incomparably amazing as she has the voice to back her production live. I've seriously had trouble telling the difference between her live recordings and her studio work.
She's working on an LP with producer Peter Wade.
A/N: I have a serious love affair with this chick's music. I've done fanart, I've talked to her. She's amazing.
MNDR on Wikipedia
Cut Me Out- Catchy opening. Sick chorus. Danceable. Characteristics of La Roux without getting too dependent on a single synth.
I Go Away- Slightly slower more balladesque performance from MNDR, showing off the odd qualities of her voice.
Bang Bang Bang (By Mark Ronson and the Business Int'l)- The lead single off Mark Ronson and the Business Int'l's record "Record Collection", with MNDR's icy icy vocals and Q-Tip's playful rapping.
