So last Sunday I woke up at 5am to get ready for my half marathon at st.louis. Usually it costs 70$ to sign up for it, but for me it was school sponsered so i only payed 20$. With 3 T shirts that came with it :D.

The most i've ever ran in my life was probably 9miles during my sophmore year at high school. I'm currently a freshmen @ St.louis college of pharmacy. I'm running track for them right now, we are a nonfunded school, i don't get scholarship for it, its sorta like intramural but we still do compete with many scholarship schools around mid-west. I usually end up getting last in every track event @_@.
For breakfast i had 1/2 of a bagel 1 banana, and about 150 calorie worth of oats cereal w/o milk. and a few bottles of water.
When i got to downtown i had to piss really badly, but the lines for johnny on the spots were EXTREMELY long, and if i waited in line i definitly would not have been able to start the time i was suppose to- 7am.
When the race kicked off, i was standing near the 8:00min/mile pacer. My goal was to run it @ 7:30 pace.
1st mile
-First mile was rather easy, there was A LOT of people ahead of me at the time that i had to pass, so i couldn't go at the pace that i wanted. But i guess it also could be a good thing, since all the people ahead prevented me from going too fast in the beginning.
Near the end of the 1st mile, i passed a couple of people that were already breathing rapidly, it could not of been a good sign for them O_O.
2nd mile
-saw 3 kenyans on the other side of the road that apparently already ran over 3.5miles.
i had to piss really badly, and luckily there were a few johnny-on-the-spots on the road, i had to take a 30second break to pee. @_@
3rd mile
-there was a timer on the side of the road, i saw 25:03 as my official 3mile time.
4th mile
-Don't remember much of this, but i knew i still looking pretty strong
5th mile-
-There was a downhill, it's all i remembered
6th mile-
-Starting to feel pain, and pondering wishing that it'd end sooner
Looked at the timer: i passed 6th mile in 46:55
7th mile-
-This is when my face slowly began turning from :| to
8th mile-
-i honestly don't remmeber much.
9th mile-
I saw a friend from my school that ran cross country with me on the road as well. He wasn't running the marathon but he ran with me for ~2miles. i'm so glad he came cuz i was honestly running out of energy.
10thmile-
I was still running with my frined, legs were getting extremely sore.
photo of me and my friend passing the 10th mile
he left after this mile, i was by myself again lol. We were both looking at the timer.
11th mile-
there was a few up/downhills which kept me away from being bored. My legs were still sore/ and i think they were getting numb too @_@
12th mile-
last mile before finishing, i just focused on not slowing down.
13thmile-
i tried to maintain my pace, started going a little bit faster cuz i was at the end of the finishing line. Hundreds, if not thousands of people were out there cheering, i felt important.
At the end i was completely sore. I never thought running just half a marathon can be so tough, i honestly felt like i coulda ran a full marathon 26.2 miles before. But now i feel like i'll still need 2+ more years of training before i can run a full marathon.
After a day or two they posted my results on their site this

I realized that running a full marathon requires SO MUCH more dedication than i thought.
I'm 19 years old, i feel like i'm in shape, and even that 13.1miles felt so hard for me. I can't imagine 30year/40/50 year olds running the full 26.2miles @_@
