Well, I took a break from ladder for about a week or so, and now that I'm back, I'm losing just about every game in 1v1. I went from facing plats to losing to silvers... and now I'm kind of scared to 1v1. I don't know if it's tilt, if I've somehow become a silver-level player again, or if everyone on the ladder got really good in a week... Anyways, it's making me kind of depressed, because now everyone's better than me. I've worked on macro, looked up good builds, and I've practiced against the AI, just working on macroing. So far, I've gone 2-10 on ladder since I've been back. Is this natural, or is something fundamentally wrong with my playing?
PS first blog yay :D

Usually these things seem worse than they are... it's a perspective/luck thing. Work on some specific goals in your games other than winning... you might go down the ladder a bit more, you might not. In any case, at some point you will hit a bottom point where you will go up from there. If your goal is to learn and have fun you can do both during losing and winning streaks.

Don't be afraid to ladder. If you are afraid then you won't get back to where you were. And 2-10 that will happen, sometimes you slump I just got off a 6 game losing streak. You just can't get frustrated with yourself and just keep trying.

A week break is a lot. You will lose when coming back. Just play a bit more and you will get back into it.

It's normal, people will lose a lot when they are out of practice, just keep playing and try to focus on your mechanics etc or a certain strategy/goals like Micronesia said! GL hf.

i get 2-10 and runs like that a lot recently =/. I watch some korean streams to see what my play should look like, and then i try to mimic it. Works pretty well.

It's just a bad run. Everyone gets this. Just this morning I went 0-2 and got -30points, then I won a game for 7points, and lost the next for -14.
Just play through it :|

Most normal thing, just play, play, play.

Watch streams of tournaments and pro players. See which builds work and what kind of unit composition to go for. Also, watch your replays even though you feel you know what you did wrong because you want to see where you fell behind whether it was lack of workers, slower expo and whatnot.
