As I'm sure many other people have recently begun doing, I'm following Day[9]'s suggestion of establishing a blog and getting some buddies to play and experience SCII with, which makes perfect sense.
So, hi! I'm LunaSaint, and I've been spectating since early January, after getting lured in by a couple of casts from TotalBiscuit. Eventually, I found my way to HD, Husky, Day[9], Joshy, Ahnaris, and onwards across the web of casters. While this is in no way my first strategy game from Blizzard, most prior experience was as a child cheating my way through the stories of Warcraft 1 onwards. It's certainly been a fresh start taking the games more seriously, and is a step up in pace from my usual hobby of healing raid encounters in World of Warcraft.
I've been laddering a little and doing a few AI matches to play around a bit, and I'm loving the feel of Terran (although I intend to try out some Zerg before I sell my soul), but really am starting to understand why it's so important to have some buddies. So I'll be on the look out for sparring partners and friends in general to help me keep going during the days where I feel I'm getting worse every game.
I'm a 19 year old student in England, and my Nick/Code is LunaSaint/856. Huge fan of TLO and WhiteRa, but there's loads of names that'll get me to watch a game. Also, have access to Skype and other voice chat options, because they're super useful.
Now if you excuse me, I'm off to post in the practise partners thread. :>

I was gonna say "here's our practice partner thread!" but you're already on the way there. Unfortunately I've kind of migrated from player to spectator in SC2-land so I'm not of much help, but good luck in finding some people to play with!
also White-Ra is a good choice to be a fan of. :D

Don't count us all out. I'm usually on at weird times, so being on at the same time you are wouldn't be surprising.

unless one or both of you have accounts on servers other than the one you live nearest, this will not be possible

Ahh crap. I totally forgot about that. I do have an EU accoutn that a friend lets me use at times, but I'm never really on it. Never mind then  .

I've just picked up the game and working through single player before I start laddering. So feel free to add me (likewise anyone else in this thread) I'm in the UK. Haven't decided which race to start with - probably protoss with the occasional bout of zerg.
