Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a physical sensation characterized by a pleasurable tingling that typically begins in the head and scalp, and often moves down the spine and through the limbs.
Most ASMR episodes begin by an external or internal trigger, and are so divided for classification. Type A episodes are elicited by the experiencer using no external stimuli, and are typically achieved by specific thought patterns unique to the individual. Type B episodes are triggered involuntarily by an external trigger, via one or more senses, and may also involve specific thought patterns associated with the triggering event. Both types of triggers vary between individuals, but many are common to a large portion of ASMR enjoyers.

I'll explain, through my own experience. It started out with going to the optometrist. I always loved going because I experienced tingling in the back of my head and became very relaxed when doing the part involving the phoropters, similar to this scene in family guy. The quietness of the room and the sound of sliding glass really got me comfortable and to me it was similar to getting a really good massage.
Due to Brood War I had started having very bad sleeping patterns and developed an annoying case of insomnia. Reddit and /sci/ had continued the issue, once I had quit BW years ago. So I started using these videos that created a ASMR for me to use access to the internet to my advantage. They have the same effect as easily-accessible sleeping pills, for me. On top of that, they feel great.
I've already posted my favorites on reddit. For the sake of this blog, I'll cross-post my own and to add some others from that sub-forum that I have enjoyed.

Enjoy.
A poster on /asmr/ also posted a site I use religiously, soothe tube. Someone has taken the time to find videos that have a calming effect on the viewer and update daily.
I'm not sure if everyone experiences ASMR, but for those who do I hope you enjoy the videos. I feel that earphones usually increase the effect, especially for the 3D sound videos. If you find a youtube video that you like and want it to replay without having to push the button, simply add repeat after youtube and before .com, EX. http://youtuberepeat.com. Also keep in mind that this feeling might not be related to the tingling feeling you get from a good piece of music.
If you have any videos regarding, post them here... I need to increase my library!
