So there's a big fuzz right now in the Linage 2 private server scene.
L2 Renewal is opening again and it seems like it's going to pull big amounts of players.
Lineage2 has always been a great game making some of the greatest rivalry between clans and players.
I'm wondering if anyone here on TL is interested in making a TL clan over there. Me and my friends got a pretty solid clan already but I love the people in this community and I think it would be awesome to play with you guys.

The server is expected to come up the 2nd of April.

How does the host take care of L2? I heard that like most MMORPGs the host fails at times and there are many goldbots/botters on the servers. Thoughts?

This host is famous for his previous servers which all was very big, unfortunately he had to close down before due to problems with recalling donations from pay pal. Sawk claims this will not be a problem this time.
There will be no ridiculous donations either. Nobless AOI buffers and funny hats are what you can donate for.

played L2 for a long time on official, always have fond memories of L2, specially around C1/C2, fighting chinese farmers etc ;p

If you want to make / start a TL thing in Lineage 2, you should probably make a new thread in the Sports & Games section. Give info about the game, how to start playing, etc. and I'm sure there will be many interested

I played L2 on big private servers for 4-5 yrs, and I am a fantastic (hero) tanker (played evas temp)

if the clan will be big and competitive, then I am up for it. will the server start from the scratch? meaning everyone lvl 1?

Nice, I were a Evas Templar hero to. And yes, it's all from scratch.

I played Lineage 2 for almost 5 years, started in prelude, stopped somewhere in the Gracia Chronicles. Sry buddy but Iam done with it.
Iam happy to have found a real competetive game in Starcraft 2, no hardcore grinder where time and money means everything :X
Iam ashamed I played that so long :X

Coming back to L2 sounds so refreshing. But I am just curious what the server rates are. I dont want it to be just a giant grind. Cause Thats what WoW is a giant grind. Dont get me wrong I got 85 in 4 days after Cata came out but I have already quit.

Edit checked the site. Sounds reasonable. I will think about

Am I missing something? I played the first Lineage game and L2 briefly during the beta and they were both about a hundred thousand times grindier than WoW, which AFAIK is probably the least grindy MMO in existence by far.

Well, that and L2 seems to take far, far longer. I have no idea if it even has end game content beyond the PvP clan war stuff because it seemed like it would take me years to even get there, it just seemed so completely pointless.

I'm definitely tempted. Will the guild be focused towards drama because then I'm in.

Turgid, the L2 grind is much, much, much, much worse than WoW's. They've made it slightly easier (still worse than WoW) and on private servers it's usually extremely easy (too easy), but the main thing is that there is no real end game besides PvP, politics and general fighting. It's about forming alliances, backstabbing and killing other people.

Thats what made it fun, but getting there means botting or investing alot of time and watching others botting xD

I am fine without Pve. If I wanted Pve id play wow. I would be in if we can get a good ammount of people. ALso I need to know where I can get Lineage2.
