I don't think it would be chaos or anything... Just people collectively realising wealth no longer matters. Personally? I'd probably spend my remaining time writing, even if I knew anything I came up with would be eradicated. See family... friends. Things like that. | ||

You will need guns and lots of them. For me, what would I do? I'd get some friends and family and wait until the shit hit the fan. Wait until society comes unglued. We'd then strip our cars down and mod them out for combat. I'd require everyone in our group to wear football shoulder pads and carry guns or mini crossbows that attach to your wrist. We would then cruise the highways looking for gas while terrorizing anyone we see. I would be the leader and my clan would call me "Lord Humungus"....I would also wear a steel hockey mask too. | ||

I found both of these books just awesome. I can't recommend them enough. As for the question at hand. I would definitely stop working and just have fun with family, friends and everyone I knew. This is assuming that I can't do shit about whats happening. If an asteroid is about to hit the earth, then there isn't much that I can do about it. | ||

Well, that's sort of a joke (not completely hehe). But I don't have many short term goals, if you could call them that. I mean, my aspirations are things that either could not be achieved quickly or would only help people in the future, which wouldn't exist. (Bear in mind I am assuming destruction is inevitable, I would do something if survival was possible.) I suppose I'm with everyone on here about just relaxing with those around me. I'm impressed no one on here posted something immature/foolish. I was expecting some idiot to say "I would just do every chick in sight and then loot every store and get mad rich and do a ton of drugs and then save the world so I had everything!" When people find out about their death, it almost always sends them into a spiral of depression. Not knowing when you are going to die protects you by allowing you to live in the dellusion that there will always be tomorrow. What you would be effectively doing would be throwing everyone on earth into a depressed state. The majority of people in the world would not see it as an oppourtunity to do all the things that they always wanted to do but couldn't due to consequences. The majority of people in the world would handle it the same way a depressed person handles life. Suicide, drug use, religion, escapism and seclusion would be the main things that would skyrocket. Murder and rape would increase by a bit, but moreso because people would suffer mental breakdowns rather than because the only thing holding them back now is fear of consequences. Causing harm to someone else (unless you're a sociopath) is actually not something that brings pleasure.You would not be enjoying yourself as you hacked to pieces a person screaming in pain or if you were on top of a girl who was crying and pleading for you to stop. You would actually feel awful. If I knew the world was going to end, I would find myself a girl to spend my remaining time with and experiment with drugs. | ||
