I just think it is dying. Note i truly hope my feelings are wrong, as i very much enjoy both, but i agree with the harry potter reference that was made. | ||

Sometimes I do feel like saying something elitist and patronizing to people who joined from WC3 or for SC2 but then I also try to stamp down on that urge and tell myself not to be a dumbass. This system mostly works for me. Mostly. Now I find that the more I can control my urge to respond to SC2 vs. BW posts that annoy me, the less those posts actually annoy and I can just easily ignore them. | ||

Its just tough for people who know that BW is the best game ever to cope with the fact that SC2 is taking away all the best foreigners from their scene. Its not elitism. Make a topic in the BW forums asking for help or something. Everyone will help as much as they can and usually do their best to help you. while i agree that BW is a better game, the opinion of best game ever is purely subjective, and to deny that and claim its superiority based on your opinions is indeed showing elitism. | ||

I play SC2 because it's a fun game, I'd probably play BW if there was no SC2. They can both be fun to watch or extremely boring to watch & I do watch quite alot( both). I seriously don't understand taking any sides. Sometimes the veryvery newbie SC2 guys comments can be quite hilarious though, especially if they are about anything BW. | ||

So because it is my opinon that StarCraft 2 is only a mediocre decent game, while StarCraft is awesome, you will punch me in the face? very mature I didn't choose my opinion... my opinion was a reaction to playing the games if this was in response to my post, i re-read mine and dont think i portrayed my thoughts correctly. Yes clearly everyone has their opinion and thats fine, but it is when people belittle others of their opinions (for example sc2>bw) is when the elitist attitude is shown, and a punch to the face may be warranted. see for me BW outside korea is dead,literally nothing,just mu(japanese) since TSL2 and since then whenever I heard someone say BW is dying I want to kick them in the face with my spiked shoes. fair enough. Question : how do you think BW is going to fair over the next few years? Less pros playing and less up and coming new players? | ||

For foreigners, I imagine most of the SC2 players will switch back to BW within 2 years. In korea, there is still lots of up and coming new players. | ||

Some pro SC2 players said they enjoyed BW better but they play SC2 because it is popular all around the world, but I doubt they'll switch back because they know they'll never win anything except for foreigners only tournaments  . | ||
