Dear bronchitis,
Fuck you.
I woke up Sunday morning with it. I felt a little bit off before I went to sleep Saturday night, but when I woke up I instantly felt terrible.
My throat hurts. My lungs hurt. They hurt even more when I cough. I ache in general. And I have the most persistent headache because every time I cough it's so violent I may as well put my head in one of those things that mixes paint.
So, on the way to work today, I stopped at CVS and bought Mucinex, a vitamin C supplement you mix in water which absolutely smells awful but really doesn't taste all that bad, some food to heat up, and Spaghettios. For some reason, Spaghettios cheer me up. Just saying it makes me feel a tiny little bit better.
I should have called out. But I didn't. At least the ginger ale and orange juice is free.
So, bronchitis, enjoy the overload of vitamin C, hydration, and hot chicken noodle soup.
I mean, that's like, not having any observers when your opponent goes cloaked banshees.
Worse yet, is that I'm sitting here complaining about bronchitis when I can see the ribbon for Violet in my peripheral vision. :\
Fuck bronchitis. But fuck leukemia even more.

You gotta stop being lazy about your macro and get more white blood cells into your system. I don't care what kind of micro you have, it's been proven time and time again that macro is more important.
I don't think I've ever had spagettios and I'm still craving them. What the hell is going on.

Yeah, i remember when i had bronchitis reoccuring for a few years straight. Man that time sucked (well, missing school for a week was coolio, but otherwise...)
Just grind it out man - you'll be fine.

It got pretty bad up until the last three days or so. God that was awful.
And LOL at the overload comment.

Spaghettios are like drugs. To this day I'm still surprised they didn't include Spaghettios on the big chart of drugs they showed us in health class.
Someone with PhotoShop skills get on that shit, ASAP.

I wouldn't go into work if I had Bronchitis. I'm not sure how bad it is but if you call work and say "I have bronchitis" they won't get mad if you take off lol

Not to be a troll (though I probably am being one right now), but IMO Chef Boyardee > Spaghetti-Os.
Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in getting better. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest.

I shouldn't have gone to work yesterday, but on Sundays I literally have nothing to do and I get paid a reasonable amount. I had to deal with Miss Geek yelling at me the whole time. Fucking mother complex...
I shouldn't have gone to work today, either. The only reasons I still came to work are that (1) I've never called out of work once in the 2.5 years I've been at my currect job, (2) the only person who is trained to work my shift is the guy I relieve, and asking a dad who needs to go pick his kid up after work with two hours of notice to do a double I'd feel bad about.
I'm going to call out of work tomorrow unless by some miracle I'm drastically better.

Try doing that without a big bad union behind you and tenure to stand on =P
not saying that I don't agree with you, but for most people, bronchitis is the type of thing that you are a lazy asshole if you take off for, but you're annoying if you come in and just constantly cough all over.
I fucking hate people who come in sick when they can work from home.

Unfortunately, I work by the hour, have no union, nothing else to fall back on. Fortunately, my boss is fucking awesome, and he knows if I call out it's because I can't go. That's the good part about being honest and genuine all the time.

Yeah I'd try it. Anyone can get sick.
If you get sick a lot then yea things like a union and tenure are nice.
Any place that will fire me (let's say after the first few months of 'probation') because I got legitimately sick once... I really do not want to work at. I realize times are tough though and we sorta take what we can get.

2.5 years and not one sick day? Damn, you should have like a medal of healthiness or something haha.
Get well soon!
PS: I'm really in the mood for spaghetti-o's right now, too bad I'm in class until 8. D:

I get sick ALL the time.. I mean like 30-40 days a year... I know how you feel only x10. I just had bronchitis last week... and 2 months ago, etc... Get better soon. :/

Thanks. I've had so much vitamin C today I'm fairly confident I could beat AIDS.

Oh man, that brings back memories of getting up early to watch cartoons as a kid. ^_^

Small little update: I called out of work today for the first time ever (at this company). I expected to be given a hard time since there would be nobody to cover my shift, but all my supervisor said when I told him I was sick and couldn't work was, "Alright."
*shrug*
So, I'm spending the day in bed trying to sleep, but really sweating like I'm in a sauna and having chills. Awesome. Oh, and it's snowing so badly here I couldn't go out if I needed something. I'm already running low on stuff.

"Go Go Gadget Helicopter!" *rocket skates come out instead* *he wildly staggers into traffic, and cars swerve out of the way to avoid hitting him* *end of scene*
That sort of thing happened alllll the time. I'm sure at least once he's cause a few fatal car accidents.
