The longer you smoke the more difficult it is to quit, and then that shit catches up with you when you're 50 or so and you get cancer or emphysema or something and it's all downhill from there. Post every milestone, we'll help keep you going I'm sure!

You are getting that end satisfaction of telling people you've quit before you've actually done it :O But maybe that's just me. Work hard and it'll work out just the same.

To put into perspective of those who are not addicted smokers, or those who have never had a cigarette. I literally smoked a pack a day for over 3 years. At times, I was smoking 2 packs a day (40 cigarettes). I'm seriously extremely addicted to nicotine. Last night when I didn't smoke a cigarette before I fell asleep was almost nerve wrecking. I didn't necessarily have a craving. Instead it is as if you're internet goes out right before you check your email or login to facebook, or read TeamLiquid. It's just like saying "oh shit. right, i forgot I don't have any" So that was last night. Today it was a lot more difficult. Not in the sense of about to cave in to buying a pack or bumming one. This is when the cravings came in. The best way to describe the cravings today is as if your mind is sore. If you have ever had a sore jaw from chewing some undercooked or very tough food, imagine that sore feeling around your temples. Combine that with a croggy feeling of when you just wake up. That was almost the constant feeling today. However I didn't think "I need a cigarette". Instead, I imagined a stop watch that keeps counting up. Every single second I don't smoke is one second closer I am to being completely free. Today was easy relative to what I'm expecting tomorrow to be. 23.5 hours until all the nicotine in my body is gone. I got this!
