Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username klissaye@gmail.com. The e-mail address k***@hotmail.com has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.

Once the new address has been verified, the e-mail address klissaye@gmail.com can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.

What makes it all the more difficult is that they will not only copy the format of Blizzard emails, but they can and oftentimes do mask an email address, making it seem like a message is being sent from a legitimate Blizzard address when in fact, it has not been. You can forward such emails to us at hacks@blizzard.com if you continue to receive them, that would be greatly appreciated. We have recently seen an increase in phishing attempts which pose a real threat for account security. As a friendly reminder, many scams will ask you for your password, which is something Blizzard Entertainment will *NEVER* do.
