After 9 long years of service, my faithful steed is falling. She trudged me through years of Planetside and Brood War but now my most loyal companion is starting to get sluggy. The sensitivity is wack and sometimes I have to plug it in and out a few times before it works. I always have to blow on the underside because there's century old dust in there. She just doesn't work like she used to.

That's how much I've used it, I actually wore off the part where my finger goes. I probably should have washed my hands before taking those though. =/

This thing is so old that underneath it it says "PS2 Compatible." I've been using this thing for so long that using any other mouse just feels weird to me.

Nah it's optical. I got it right when optical came out, it was like "WHOA LAZERS"

Kinda looks like intellimouse explorer 3.0?? If so i understand why you didn't change yet! that is a noble mouse indeed, i went through two of them before i got my current salmosa, which i also really like (but it squeaks sometimes! beware)

yuck man, that mouse is grody as all hell.. treat yourself to a new gamer sword rofl. I had mine for 2 years and I was getting pissed at how old I thought it was.

intellimouse 3.0 is actually one of the best mice made. I have it as well, and mine looks worse

used my mx500 for about 6 years. but it started to have weird fuckups where either the lmb stopped working or it jumped around the screen like crazy doing all kind of random actions. maybe ill make a pic later.. doesnt look much better then yours ~~

now i have a razer imperator i got from my gf for christmas and i really love it. do that step and get a new one (maybe with a similar shape if youre so used to it). once you have to fight against your equipment its not worth the trouble really. and todays mice are really nice.

They still sell those at Best Buy for like $40. The next mouse I plan on getting is the Zowie EC2 White.

It has the same sensor as the MX518 and has the shape of the DA mix with the IME 1.1. I have a IME 3.0 as well and it has served me greatly. Once the teflon feet wore off, I gave it to my brother. As for now I use a logitech g9x. I really like it so far.
