Clubroot - MMX II Album
I'm usually not too keen on dubstep as a genre but every once in a while something simply mindblowing stuff comes up. Athmospheric soundscapes, great subpounding basslines and drumwork on this album. My favourites from this album are 'Closure' and the opening track 'Orbiting', which works greatly as a gigopener for housemixtapes, dubstepmixtapes and trancemixtapes, really versatile song.
Honorable mentions considering dubstep:
Darkstar - North CD
Addison Groove - Footcrab

Bart Van Wissen - Cosmic Superhero (Original Mix)
Okay technically speaking this was released 11 November 2009 but it was hammered globally till like 2010 Summer and still gets played a lot, so why not include. Godtier melodyline that reminds of Three Drives classic 'Greece 2000', athmosphere that fits the title 100% and a groove to die for. Progressive monster for uplifting the party and perfect stuff just for listening.

John Graham Pres. Quivver - Boom Boom EP (Bedrock)
John Digweeds Bedrock favourite that made some damage on techno as well as progressive events. Three totally different tunes which varie on the overall athmosphere and driving. 'Yeah Yeah', 'Boom Boom' and 'In Your Boat' were all used in John Digweeds Structures mixtape this year in their full potential and showed exactly how they are each used in different parts of the mixtape and work 100% percent.
The moneyshot in this EP for me is 'Boom Boom', shivers everytime when 'its about to drop' in 3:32.
John Graham aka Quivver is mostly known for his work in the 90s for his works in Progressive House and Progressive Trance scene and working in 90s Progressive supergroup 'Tilt'
Notable 90s productions from John Graham:
Tilt - Invisible (Original Mix) (Supernatural Mix)
Quivver - She Does EP
Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (Quivver mix)
C.M - Dream Universe (Tilt's Eastern Storm Remix)

Ali Wilson - Pandora EP
Great great great great song that was released just in the right time for it to grow in to a huge summerhit. Simply amazing sampling by Ali Wilson taking Tribal Chanting from some obscure African music CD, twisting them around and using it as a base for the whole song. Nothing screams more summer than this tune! (well perhaps my #2 does even more ).
Honorable mentions considering 2010 Trance:
Luigi Lusini - Colors EP
Protoculture - Love Technology CD
Lennox - Phantasia EP
Lolo - Myla's Theme EP
Maor Levi feat. Ashley Tomberlin - Chasing Love EP
Vangelis - Rachel's Theme (Orkidea Remix), technically 00/01 tune but it was given free this year, so therefore on the list.
#6
Maya Jane Coles - What They Say EP
+ Show Spoiler +
What what what a girl making such a huge bomb for the dancefloors? Amazing EP by adorable Maya Jane Coles that takes its influence from the early days of House. Hypnotic, grooving, instantly catchy for the big events and for just hammering it through your speakers. Mindblowing how old ideas and sounds still work to this day.
Azari & III is another producing duo that really came through this year with their 90s influenced house sounds. Catchy as hell, organic, 808 Sounding tunes to die for.
#5
Ripperton - Miegakure EP
Not an Original EP by Ripperton, but a Remix EP. And what a beautiful remixes are they. Mark Augusts Remix of 'The Sandbox' is a beautiful trip through the jungle with organic synths and deep basslines poundering you into a freakin coma. My favourite however on this EP is I:Cubes Tape Mix of 'At Peace'. Overwhelming soundscapes, echo effects and synths to make your head knobbing. Easily one of the most wellcrafted songs in the last year.
Youtube doesn't make this tune justice in how freakin big it sounds.

Lee Curtiss - And We All Fall Down EP
Sasha favourite from this fall. Great soundscapes and grooves enough to keep you satisfied..... Crazzzzzzyyeeeeeeeeee...
#4
Robot Child - Dusty Hi / Link EP
Robot Child doesn't rely on quantity but more on quality. Three EPs in total released, out of which one was released in 2010. 'Dusty Hi / Link' is a great follow up on his more techier last 'Gold Sharks / Amber Turtle' EP. Groovy, hypnotizing, driving and melodic beyond belief.
Considered for #4:
Henry Saiz - The Rider EP
Glenn Morrison feat. Cathy Burton - Symptoms Of A Stranger (Henry Saiz Remix)
Henry Saiz had an amazing year as a producer, rock solid remixes and original tunes.
Zdenko Grbavac - Aevum EP
Carl Craig - At Les (Christian Smith's Tronic Treatment Remix), I don't think there was a techno or progressive event that didn't have this song playing in full volume. Outstanding remix of an old Carl Craig Classic.
...Jizzfest when the tune launches in 4:05
#3
Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin - Callisto (Joris Voorn Remix)
Easily Joris Voorns greatest moment as producer yet. Joris Voorns Remix in Marc Romboys & Stephan Bodzins 'Drei Monde' is Dreamy, groovy and instantly catchy for the dancefloors. Perfect blend of Trance songstructure, synths and Houserhythms. And that vocal sample just before the chorus hits, my god.

Tensnake - Coma cat
Yeah! The might 'Coma cat' by Tensnake. Released at a perfect time during early spring just get you into the mood for closing Summer. Instant summerhit and instantly catchy. Works just aswell in the big events as it does for example as driving music. If I had a themesong when I enter the room, this would be it. What a cute little tune!
... And the #1 of 2010 . ...
