I'd say $10 for non-color, $15 for color is more reasonable (that way most people will also be more inclined to kick in the extra $5 for color ![]() =P bah, mild changes enacted. It's hard to judge because if I were still at college studying art, I'd probably have put up your suggested prices at the beginning. But now that I work as an artist, it's hard to justify lowering prices so much below what I can get from freelance. But Then again I do have to remind myself, this is for fun, not for work. So, a little less now

I imagine if I tried to sell fanfiction staring TL users, people would be pretty pissed. This isn't much different. Thanks for the samples, anyway ![]() Since this is essentially advertising, maybe it should go into the Sponsor forum or get closed. I don't really know, since I'm not aware of a precedent for such behaviour ![]()

You're basically trying to make a quick buck off: a fictional universe that isn't yours and: a non-profit (until very recently, I guess) community I imagine if I tried to sell fanfiction staring TL users, people would be pretty pissed. I don't really know, since I'm not aware of a precedent for such behaviour ![]() Deviant art has many users on par or less skilled than these sketches of mine who ask for as much and more money. It's a common practice in Deviantart community. I ask for money because time is precious and it's logical to get compensated for work. If I offered them to everyone for free I'd be spending way too much time on them and never get any real work done. If you don't want one, then great, but I don't see how it's insulting. You're getting worked up about something rather inconsequential. As for which forum to put it in I just put it in here because my blog thus far has been an art blog just displaying my zerg and protoss art up till now. I'll go check out the sponsor blog and see if I can delete this and repost it there if it's a better home for such things.

This is what I mean by money sullying your contribution. As soon as you involve money you have to ask if it's really your intellectual property you're selling. Blizzard might not care because you're such a small fry, but it's definitely illegal to sell their brand without written permission. Even if Blizzard doesn't care I still find it hilariously underhanded. If it's not worth the effort to do it for free, then create your own original content and try to sell it yourself. TSL1 was 100s of hours of work for the people involved, and every one of them did it for free. That's incredible, isn't it? What's not incredible? Some hack trying to exploit other people's hard work to make a quick buck. I think that deserves criticism ![]()

Even though I wouldn't buy a drawing from this guy ... this is similar to the whole tutoring SC2 or even the person who started making SC2 plushies. A lot of people think it's not worth the money ... and a lot of people do think it's worth the money. These people just happen to be at the cusp of a market where SC2-enthusiasts are willing to pay whatever over the top price it is for a lesson, drawings, or plushies. Just sit back and let those ppl pay what they are willing to pay.
