My ship
Through some strange twist of fate I fell into this... going on a 7 night cruise out of Port Everglades, Florida to three destinations (aboard the MSC Poesia):
- Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas (capital of US Virgin Islands)
- Philipsburg, St Maarten*
- Nassau, Bahamas

I have had to book airfare at nearly the last minute so it was not easy. After doing some research and two long phone calls with my Amazon Visa Rewards department, I'm getting a free round-trip ticket from LGA near where I live to Miami... but it gets in at 4:15pm for a 7pm departure 30-40 minutes away! God I hope I catch that ship lol.... got vacation insurance to be safe. There is something in Florida called the supershuttle which has fairly frequent trips to various destinations including miami airport to port everglades... trip will be like 31 dollars. If anyone has info on any of this that would be great. I think I will need to check a bag since I'm packing for a full week, which will both slow me down and cost me like 25 dollars each way...
I am probably going to meet up with people from the forums at cruisecritic.com who have a 'roll call' for virtually every voyage... and judging from the activity of their thread on a January sailing there will be over a dozen people going from the community... we shall see.

They still have good deals if anyone else is interested :p. I have been to Nassau before but not the other two destinations (see my earlier blogs linked to at the bottom of this post). Last time in Nassau I did an excursion with my friend to a small island nearby where we rented jet skis and then had lunch. It was a blast. We were skiing around here. I am considering actually going over to Paradise Island this time and checking out the Atlantis/Aquarium. Who has been there? Worth it? I don't think there's that much worth doing on the rest of the island unless you are really into shopping (which I am not).
Anyone sailed MSC before? Anyone been to these destinations before? Share your stories and/or make suggetions!
