A new cast! This time my daughter came up with her own name so we all have something to call her. Introducing StarGirl !!! I'm trying to figure out the best place to have the mic when we cast together, since it's a headset - so at times it's not balanced, but that's because the mic is moving throughout... and i have a squirmy 4 year old in my lap :-)

I've updated the main forum post as well. Enjoy :-)

I just wanted to point this out, but there were girls in Starcraft 1 booths, and they were also called Stargirls. They didn't commentate or anything, but they just stood there. Maybe to increase male viewership

hmmm, well... she came up with the name on her own. I just went with it. :-)

Why would they need to increase the male viewership? Wasn't that the ONLY viewership?

No, a lot of girls watched too. If you watch a SC1 vod, there are a lot of females watching too. Probably to watch guys like Bisu

In SCBW, there was often more females than males that attended proleagues and the likes lol.

Ahh yes they just stood there. Gazing directly into your soul as though they had come out of the fiery pits of hell themselves. They were hot though >.<.

You make this sound as if it is something that doesn't still happen The booth girls are still there... still watching... still waiting...

Oh my God, loved this. Granted, for some parts it wasn't as good as I had hoped, but when she starts commenting it gets really good. I'm sure other commentators would do well to learn from her enthusiasm: "wooooow, more pylons. Pyyyyylooonns, wooow". Or very astute observations, such as "ARE YOU CRAAAZY?! No gaaaas? You're a nuub".

Thanks for sharing
I am not sure what to say

This title and the idea led me to misled to the "StarGirl" from Starcraft 1 games during OSL which are basically boothgirls before the games start. The idea by your daughter is cool and everything but I fear it may confuse a lot of people and may or may not lead to misunderstandings....

But thanks for sharing! ^_^

I think Sea mentioned that they were there so people wouldn't change the channel.
