I don't listen to much metal, but I enjoyed it! I love the energy. The drums sound great (especially the kick drum- god damn what kinda kit is that?). My only criticism is the bridge around 2:30 could have been executed better, maybe something like building it up gradually to come back into the hook, or a solo like coag. said.

Edit: PS. we are blog neighbors at the moment haha

The only problem I can see is that lots of metalheads probably won't pay any attention to them since they play a metalcore style which has been done 1000 times already in the last few years.
However the song sounded pretty good, and was well recorded for an unsigned band, so I don't want to sound like I'm completely disregarding them.. There is obviously some talent there, and I think if they can add something else to make them stand out from other metalcore bands then they would suddenly become very interesting.

Nice, I really enjoy this kind of metalcore style. However, they sound ALOT like As I Lay Dying. Parts of their song sounds eerily similar to Through Struggle.

Not that that's a bad thing of course .

Edit: I will definitely be following these guys. :D I really think they have a chance to get signed, they sound legit.

I was pretty impressed, wasn't expecting this. Was more hardcore than metal, but i liked it. Incorporating singing into this style of music is really important for contrast's sake. I'd definitely be willing to listen to more of this, so i hope they release stuff soon. Hopefully they mix things up a little bit though, as this style of music can start to sound very repetitive after a few songs since these guys typically use the same basic chords and chord progressions in every song (Bands like As I lay Dying, Parkway Drive, TDWP, Unearth etc). They are good, but every song starts sounding the same.

I happened to have my mini-studio setup when I saw this so I gave it a listen on my monitors. I'm pretty impressed with the recording quality. Is this in a pro or home studio? The drums sound fantastic, though I think they're a little simplistic for metal. I expected a little more double bass madness.

Vocals remind of... every American wannabe metalcore band. I think they're well recorded, but fairly uninspired.

Needs some more complex guitarwork/a guitar solo.

In my opinion, the recording is fantastic. In terms of putting out a well produced sound this is great. In terms of songwriting and musicianship I'm not really feeling it. It isn't distinct. I've listened to a LOT of metal and am a metal musician/producer myself. I don't want to be mean but there's no "flavor" to this song. It's bland and generic.

If that's what the band is going for, by all means keep it up. Metal is about expression through technicality and musicianship though. I think these guys are holding back.

P.S. Also it sounds unmastered. Definitely could bring the overall volume up to commercial levels.

Sounds like every metalcore band I've ever heard. If being unoriginal is this band's goal then they certainly nailed it. Perfect job at ripping off At The Gates (although the band was probably intending on ripping of As I Lay Dying, who are ATG rip offs themselves) and transitioning into a single-note staccato breakdown.

Wow dude this is great. Really like it. That being said I would say:

-Drums were good, fills could use the rest of kit a bit more/be a bit more varied. Great sound on the drums though, as was said before.

-The breakdown about 1.30ish minutes in also could be a bit heavier i think.

-Definitely needs a guitar solo. With the style of clean vocals youve opted for theres a lot of just hard rock and emo that does that kind of thing too here in the US at least. Put something in to show you're metal.

Can't wait to hear any other samples though. Really blown away
