I knew he was mentally handicapped and assumed from the board that he had just learned to play, so I figured "why not, I'm not the best chess player in the world, but I can at least give him a good learning experience".
I have NEVER lost a game of chess so badly in my life! Handicapped or not, this guy was phenomenal! It took less than 15 minutes, I only took TWO of his pieces, and he proceeded to toy with me the last few turns by taking all my pieces except the king while loudly proclaiming how awesome he was.
I was pretty ashamed I had judged him off the bat, so instead of taking the bus I walked the three miles to my destination in shame!
Lol, so this guy is kind of like the rainman of chess.

moral of the story? grow some balls and be a real man. The male youth in Korea has been so feminized by kpop culture, e.g. idol groups, and especially, boys over flowers, it's a crying shame. It's no wonder the grandma thought you were in elementary school.

Wtf dude, I didn't go there dressed like a girl in some skinny jeans, I wore a nike shirt with some shorts. Don't tell me to grow some balls and be a real man, you have never even met me. It's true that the boys in Korea have been feminized, like all the boys in Asia, but that doesn't give you the right to stereotype against me.
EDIT: and that is not the moral of the story. The moral of the story is to not underestimate your opponent/don't judge a book by its cover

No, space is at a premium. So the good players are possessive about court time. If you arn't even decent why are you wasting their time? Go join a program that teaches you how to play.

Lol... but then compare you US player to all the main Badminton nations and what do you have? Nothing. Its completely sad how we don't have any training regime as hard as they do, but then again its our fault, for not having Badminton as a major sport, its a hard lifestyle to even life off of if you try to be a pro.

so after i read this blog entry a few days ago I saw 무한도전 on tv and they had the korean badminton champion 이용대, and apparently his shuttlecock clocks in at a little over 300km/h (~186.4mph). They did a challenge for him where he would smash a shuttlecock at a watermelon and see if he could crack it. I was like no way that thing weighs like 5grams. Not only did he land it on his first try, which is damn impressive, the shuttlecock went straight into the watermelon and it cracked into pieces. I'll see if i can find a video but it was like the most impressive shit ever, and I wonder what it would do if you got hit by one

Man that just sounds amazing. BM all over the world but still. Badminton is really fun, just get better and challenge her again epic style. I play tennis too, however university has kept me from playing as often as I like. I know how you feel though.
