Just doing this for fun. I just had the thought that if you go all-in with certain Unit compositions, it's similar to going all-in with particular Poker hands if Starcraft was Poker. So I decided to have some fun and compare Unit Comps/Strategies with Poker Hands. Here's what I've come up with so far.
Worker Rush = Non-Ace High Card.
6 Pool = Ace High.
Cannon Rush, Proxy Rax = Pair of 2s?
Like I said, just doing this as a fun little exercise. Anyone got any other comparisons they think could apply?
Let's say Starcraft is like Texas Hold'em. Rush players go All-In when not all the cards have been revealed. Longer-game players wait for more cards to be revealed, and if they can defend an all-in, they can create a stronger hand. Or something like that.

12 drone rush on sow vs terran = straight flush.
because it flushes the terran straight out of the game you know?

All in = All in
I am good at this!

What takes the role of stack depth in the analogy?

When you're going All-In, though, you're going All-In with a specific hand. i.e. going All-In with 6-Pool is like going in with Ace High. Try to attribute hands that people are going All-In with.

As a poker player this kind of thing makes me want to stab myself in the face with a frozen kitten.

you're winning the game, destroying your opponent's last few buildings, when all of a sudden 15 ultralisks spawn and you lose. thaaaaaat's starcraft! (<3 day[9])

Would a frozen kitten be sharp?

Never said it was. No need to be serious, as I said in the post, it's just for fun.
