So 2 hours ago I tried to log into my mailbox to check my mails and my password was incorrect. Then couple minutes later I received an email from FaceBook(I can still see incoming emails because I'm logged onto MSN, once i log out of MSN i won't be able to log back in because the password is changed), I guess it had to be an email informing me that my Facebook password has been changed, because I can't log on to Facebook with my old password now.

This isn't totally devastating because I just wrote down all my friend's email on MSN, and I barely use Facebook aside from talking to a few close friends. But it is really fucking stupid.

I don't know if this has anything to do with me getting hacked, but couple days ago some random person emailed me on Facebook accusing me of changing their password. I ignored the mail until the person sent another one today. I replied that I don't know him/her so stop bothering me, then I blocked the person.

I have no idea who did it, probably someone who is not really fond of me. I really doubt random hackers would do this to random people.

My interest on Facebook is now Men.

Go do this now. Before you change any passwords or enter any new ones.

I don't think someone can just be like "Okay, let me hack his FB." I'm assuming that you must have clicked a malicious link/ran a harmful file (which could have easily been cloaked as something malicious). That way, whomever did this to you, got access to 'hacking' you that way... And for people who let this happen to them, they deserve it.

No one can just be like "okay, let's hack zenMaster today." Unless they already know your email address that's registered for facebook login and spend days and days brute-forcing your password. And if they were able to brute force your password, your password must have been 'apple123' ... if that was the case, you deserved it.

So in conclusion,
You deserved it.

At any rate, clean your system. And make your new passwords more difficult in the future (e.g. 3 character classes: 1 upper case, lower case, and a number).

Good luck.
(and at least this mystery hacker did not get your TL account!)

Never open any email from people that you don't know or even if you do know them and if your not expecting an email from them, don't open it.

Definitely as the others say, scan your computer first to ensure it's clean and then make sure to change it to a secure password (i.e. not password1, name1, etc).

http://www.random.org/strings/ is good for generating passwords if you feel mind-blocked.

There was also a program recently created called firesheep (to demonstrate how unsecure sites are, believe it or not, this was made to be beneficial), and if you log into an account like facebook when on a public network, someone with the program can go on your account and wreak havoc. That could be how they got in. If you do this, avoid using accounts when on public networks. And if it's a virus, then Avast is a good free scanner, as well as Spybot for the spyware.
How's the weather down there?

Does your facebook and email password happen to be the same? And could it possibly be a friend who knows you really well who is just fucking with you?

It is propably a friend of you who found a new "omg hack msn mail now"-tool and knows your email address or either your password was just too weak or you told it someone else you trusted.

Without previous knowledge of the email address it's unlikely that someone hacks an account. I'm always amused by people claiming "my account has been hacked" when they gave away their usernames/passwords to others and/or were gullible enough to follow phishing mails.

To everyone out there: Noone can hack your account without _you_ screwing it up and/or giving your credentials away (rare exceptions though).

Maybe you could explain it to him, the OP, and everyone else then.
How is his post so wrong that it makes him appear completely obtuse?

Edit: According to your post history you're just a jerk-off to everyone.
How about trying to not flame people who try to help the OP, while you sit on your high horse and ridicule people while looking like a fucking idiot in the process.

This. I hate it when people just assume that looking at any sort of file (i.e. downloading a files that may or may not certain a virus) will instantaneously activate an exe file or something XP

that doesn't mean you'll know anything about cracking. it may give you the skillset to later learn about it, but that's not the point. regardless, i'm very skeptical that his password was compromised through a brute force method. there's no way facebook is going to let someone unsuccessfully attempt to login thousands of times in a row

he probably has spyware on his machine, as suggested by the first poster
