EPTWe play a game, lag makes it almost unplayable. I try a stupid quasi zealot rush which fails hard and he proceeds to own me with his first push. After the game we’ve both calmed down since the ums, I apologize for lagging so bad and he stops flaming me and doesn’t even rub it in that he won. He asks me why I did my stupid build and I said because I wanted to end the game early so he said go fix your lag and come back and we’ll play a real game. I fix my lag, log back on and to my surprise he’s still there.
Game two. I perform about as you could expect a silver player to vs. a diamond, he does some warp prism shenanigans and beats me pretty soundly. Once again after the game no trash talk, he offers me some tips (keep in mind this is someone who was flaming me twenty minutes ago). He then offers a 2v2 game which I accept. We get wtfpwnd by some diamond (my fault for playing pretty noobish and not getting my second up until wayyy late and not having enough production buildings). To my surprise he’s not that mad we lost and in fact wants to play again. Unfortunately I had to go otherwise we would have played some more.
I guess why I’m making this blog is to remind people that
not everyone on bnet is bm at heart. He was probably right to be pissed at me for playing a ums that my computer couldn’t handle and so I understand him flaming me. When I challenged him I expected him to completely bm me after the game (win or lose) and instead we had a very cordial time and he went out of his way to offer suggestions once he had won.
If you’re reading this kennyB I want you to know that you made my day just a little brighter and gave me renewed hope in humanity.
