The worst thing is "No", and then you just move on. That's not completely true. If I would try to kiss the girl I like, I risk our friendship (which is ofc. pretty important to me). Rather have friendship than nothing.

Maybe it's just a Los Angeles thing, but Taiwanese/Korean girls are slightly less materialistic in my experience. Hollywood swinging, that's right.

Rather have friendship than nothing. This is why you never date friends, duh. If you were interested, you should have made a move way before you got into the friend zone. If you didn't make a move, then you probably weren't interested to begin with. Note: I used to be a dating coach in Hong Kong, so my opinions might seem a bit extreme to some.

If you're like Hitch that must be an incredibly funny job lol. @op : Congrats, finally a blog which is not about a dude with a lack of confidence. You got some balls to kiss her and you were rewarded (Shanghainese girls are great gl hf).

There are actually a ton of "dating coaches" here in the US too. They (me included) lean more towards pick-up than relationships though, since it's easier to teach and much less complex. Most people know about it from the best selling book "The Game".

Well that's great to hear man. I feel bad that I made a girl thread too, although technically it wasn't a thread to ask for advice or anything =_=. But alas, TL will be TL =P He ruined the game.....

EDIT: @link0 Hmm, I have to said I have observed what you say about materialism and mainland girls to be true... but that's not the case for the slightly more whitewashed ones ![]()

I've never really gotten that feeling from hanging out with them, but I do hear what you're saying. It's probably true that a big percentage of them are more materialistic. Like any generalization though, there are exceptions. I'm really glad that my girlfriend isn't like that though. From spending so much time with her and talking about pretty much everything, I've gathered that she's really similar to me: logical, rational, reasonable. And not just in stuff like academics. I mean in life. And quite the opposite of what it sounds like - she does know how to have fun because of that rationality. I consider myself rational because I know how to enjoy life and get the most out of it. And she thinks in the same way.
