School has been so busy I have only been able to play a whopping two games in about three weeks. And of course, both were losses. Feels bad man. College can be such a pain in the ass sometimes . Oh well! Any of you folk ever go on a long hiatus and just absolutely miss playing the game? How'd you manage to transition back to the game? It just felt as if my fundamentals regressed because of the long break.
edit: oh lols it's my birthday too! Reminded by the old TL cake :D

Happy birthday
After 3 days of not being home I was like NEED STARCRAFT 2. Can't last longer than that. =P
Personally, I make time for it. I'm not in school though, so not too many commitments to worry about. ^^;

Happy birthday man, I've kind of been in the same situation myself. Your fundamentals will regress a bit in my experience, but you can get them back with some practice. SC is like riding a bike most pros say. Good luck with college and getting back into sc2 shape.

I am on a forced hiatus from broodwar because fucking windows 7 and blizzard refuse to patch starcraft for the shit to work on windows 7 without crashing randomly.
I could do without SC2, the only good thing is desert strike and after going like 50-5 the game got boring, although it does require some level of strategy.

Happy birthday and good luck getting in some quality games.
Hmm SC2 may be like riding a bike, but I'm not sure if that applies for BW. Trying to go back to BW feels like trying to get back in your house by scaling a huge wall somebody had put up after a period of not playing. I think you'll be find going back to SC2 in like a ~10 games? Just play a bit and you'll be all good.

I haven't played a single game in about two weeks T_T
|
I'm currently doing my ED app to UPenn; haven't played in weeks T_T.
Though, for some reason, I have a strange (but probably false) belief that I will be better when I restart lol.

Get a friend to do some custom games against and you'll be back in the game in no time, without losing rank ^^
|
A few practice games where you simply focus on your build order and keeping minerals low against a normal difficulty computer usually does the trick for me. Just focus on mechanics for a few games, and you should be back .

Yeah, I have been away from my gaming rig for over two weeks straight now because my house is being worked on, and it is going to be another two or three weeks before I can get any serious gaming in.
Im trying to play on my work laptop, but it just sucks. And just now that the Zerg love patch finally came!
Edit: And happy birthday! :D
