Ok guys, this is going down. SUGGY stepped and now it's real. West Coast Canada versus East Coast Canada. Let's get some input: are we gonna go for a tourney-style competition, or a single, definitive match a la ProLeague Best-of-7? Ladder-only map pool? Losers (East Coast) wear skirts to their first Canada Cup?
I'm going to set this up for mid-November. I've got some awesome casters ready and eager to do this. Start posting, guys.

SUGGY suggested:
Each team submits a roster + starter with a default map for the first game.
If East wins, then East will choose which player they want to play next, then West will choose who they will put against them, as well as the map, but no map repeats. The format will continue like that. Map pool: ladder

There are plenty of good casters out of Canada, like Arby3k and Truth for instance. They just don't know how to market themselves XD haha. In this case the casters will be SCAnemone and Carefoot of eSports Canada.

Hahahaha I look forward to see this. About the match format, it really depends on how many players each team with have. You guys can do the generic knock out format style. Personally I've always preferred 4x 1vs.1 and 1x 2vs.2 when it comes to these team matches.

Y'know, BC versus just Quebec or just Ontario would be so one-sided, we allowed them to use players from both. And since we opened that up, I decided all of Canada should be allowed to participate.

LOLOL seriously this is gonna be so embarrassing for the West. East with Ontario/Quebec is soo deep, if it was bo9/11 I would bet 7-2/8-3 if the West gets some lucky draws. bo7 gonna be 5-2 I bet for East.

I'm going to put the official thread up in the tournaments section within a couple of days. Most people I've talked with have said yes to Nov. 3rd at 4pm PST (7pm EST), so that is now the set date. No one has given any better ideas, so Best-of-9 will be the format! I'm going to put the official thread up in the tournaments section within a couple of days with the live stream info.
