Any confirmation on their games list? It's < 1.5 miles from my uni, so I'd probably make the trip if they had BW (meh, SC2).

Hi guys sorry I haven't responded I didn't notice PM about thread moving so I assumed it had died. My friend, the owner, is abroad for a few days but once he returns I will ask him your questions and speak to him about putting an event on. I would imagine he will be delighted to.
I will update here when I have more info.

I was going to email them, but yeah - as for an event, if I can make it that will be cool.
If not, will it be open on the 17th of Oct? I'm on a split shift from work that day, so I have a clear 3 hour break, so I could come in and get a few games in.

I'm afraid all I know about opening is "very soon" how apt is that :D
If you have any specific questions please go register on their forums and ask directly. As someone suggested in the original thread the bigger the community they can put together the better and it's never to early to start.

Hi Guys,
We should be up and running sometime over the next few weeks and we will be doing a launch event shortly after we open. Details of the event haven't been decided yet, but will definitely feature SC2 in some form. We will also be running regular tournaments on SC2 as well as a host of other games, so if there is an SC2 event coming up you guys will be the first to know.
@Garrl If by BW you mean Brood War then yes, we will have it installed

Me, Reason and possibly a couple other people are definitely up for this. I wanna try out SC2 since I haven't played it yet but I'm definitely up for playing some BW too ^_^

Be good to have a wee bit of old school BW amongst a SC2 lan, see how everyone reacts trying to remember how to function without mbs or rally points and with terrible pathing ai

Still not open yet I don't believe.
I go past it on the way to work most days, so I've been keeping an eye out for it being open.
Once it's open we'll organise some shiz.

Well I live near glasgow and could easily get the train in to edinburgh and bring my m8 who plays sc2 as well for any tourney's or meetup.

I have spoken to my friend today, he is back from his trip and they will be opening very, very soon ^^.
Putting the inevitable tournament aside, I am wondering if folks would be interested in a regular event with a live finals at Twitch?
On-line ladder with live finals,
On-line tourney with live finals,
Regular live tourney,
Something else?
What are your thoughts peoples?

I would think live tournament at the place would be awesome.. maybe put it in devisions, just to make it more fun for all . say copper to gold league in one one for plat and one for diamond.
Depending on how many people are in which devision. then you can have 3 tournament going on at the same time and 3 finals.

I don't have SC2. I reckon I could still compete though but any BW tournaments would be awesome!

I'm keen on tournaments; I wish I had more time to practice...as I'm not very good at SC2 at the moment! What's everyone's division and rankings btw? Points also.
A few days ago (when I played last) I was 9 ranked plat, with around 1100 points.

It seems like this is kinda going very slow.
i know there is a lot of effort into organising but my thought are that we should try to organise something, so we are not dependent on the net cafe answering. Just so we get to see one another, change nicks and say hi, just to be sure this does not just evaporate.

Yeah, I went in one day a couple of weeks ago.
It really depends on my days off, or I can go before work.
I'm off this Thursday...and I'll probably be up for meeting up that day if any of the rest of you are keen?

Yeah it was two or three weeks ago I went in to check it out.
I'm working at 5 PM on Thursday but could come along if it's early enough.
