I promised myself I wouldn't choose the hard race again.
Terran in brood war caused me so many hours of suffering.
DT drop. Defilers. Oh lord the mutalisks
How is it that I ended in this spot again? Everything looked so promising for us zerg. Spawn larva rewarding good macro, mass dps hydras, and roaches. 1 supply roach how I miss you.
Today is the day I make my choice. I have 4 years of terran suffering on my back and this zerg dilemma adds too much weight. I'm too tired to carry on with zerg. I play SC2 for fun and zerg is not. Early game zvt is a chore. A chore that I fail at more times then not and it pains me.
So now comes the choice Protoss or Terran?
Funny how I crossed terran off my list before I even started sc2 because I thought it was going to be like bw.
I choose you... Terran.. again. Please don't let me down

Haha you have the opposite problem of me and intotherainbow.
Ultimately stick to the race you enjoy; not the 'easy' or 'hard' race. I'd rather be proud of my accomplishments while 200 points lower on the ladder than slightly better rated but feel dirty :p

Play random until you find the race you like the most. I stuck with my BW race though. Brotoss for life.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Just gotta keep grinding away and sooner or later you will be able to overcome the odds that are stacked against you.

Just choose P its a safer choice  . But you might have been inflicted with the "Curse". No matter what race you choose the angry sc1 terran will always be angry....You cannot escape it.

Yeah, history has shown that playing terran is usually a very good choice

Protoss. Very safe choice. High values on intuition and spontaneous reaction. Terran can be pretty taxing, especially late game macro, and has very very rigid timings all the way to midgame.
Though sticking to zerg would be cool too :3.

Well that depends on what he wants out of gaming I guess. I mean, yeah, right now, I love the challenge of playing Zerg, but after a long stressful day I can't help but picking terran and pwning noobs.

Yeah..
Before the beta came out I thought to myself "those tanks look amazing in 3D" and remembered the countless times those same tanks used to make my goons suffer into blue sadness, then I decided "I will pick Terran this time."
Lasted the first beta phase and the first weeks after release and I found myself missing my good old Protoss and bored of playing Terran, so I switched back to my origins.
Choose the race you have most fun.

I've actually been playing random for about a week and it was decent for 1 or 2 days. Playing all 3 races is pretty cool but I don't like it for extended periods.

In sc2 winning is fun. In brood war, playing is fun. So I guess I am going to be having more fun.
Also right clicking buildings with marauders makes me laugh.

Oh suicide. That is the mindset that led me into bw terran.

I feel protoss is a little unstable when I play it but blink stalkers in pvz are the shit.
True though the anger as a bw terran is going to haunt me forever. *cough artosis cough.
edit: Oh ya I wish I could race pick. Mirror matchups are so terrible right now.
I would do PvZ, ZvT (I really like this matchup if it gets past 1 base terran), TvP

Dull terran. Not even close to the joy that marine medic micro brought me.
Bio terran feels like protoss on crack.
I will try my hand at protoss this weekend. They seems super strong ZvP mid-late game and apparently dominate TvP late game as well (according to TLO). That's awesome if true since I almost always play for the late game.

I played terran because I get easy wins sometimes... yes I enjoy easy wins. Now my curse would be I always pick the easiest race... unlike you, you played terran in SC BW which is the most mechanically demanding race. I played Protoss back then and everyone hated that race
Now, I was going to play protoss in SC 2 but changed my mine and thought that terran will be some what a neutral race (neutral mechanics, neutral decision making). It really feels like I'm always playing the easy race now
Terran is the new protoss I guess.. but i'm sticking with it since I've invested too much practice hours for it.

I am feeling this right now. I think I want to play protoss but I put many hours into zerg and am losing a fair amount. Maybe if I 4 gate every game I can win more but that is dumb.
I am currently debating whether the 2-3months until next patch comes out is enough to pull my protoss play up significantly. Hmm.. hard decision.

Terran is the easy mode.
Pick Terran. You will be able to beat people with twice your apm and probably twice your skill too
I switched to terrans because i couldn't stand dumb PvT allin. So frustrating. Now i'm doing the allin =D

I tried it for a week but got bored really fast. Only thing fun about terran is banshees (lol fast cloaking guardians) and marauders right clicking nexus.
So far I'm really liking protoss and it is pretty fun. Won last 5 games at 1700 and have gone about 50/50 last 2 days. So my 2 day experience level protoss (+some beta practice) wins about as much as my zerg does after 2 months (+some beta). I'll see how it goes from here

Starting week 3 now..
I tried some Z today.
Didn't taste so good.
MLG zergs were impressive but nothing matched the fun Kiwikaki must have had playing that terran on Xel'naga caverns. God that game was a beauty.
Need to start playing more games. Gaining 100points a week just isn't enough. By the end of my 2 day break, I want 2K points! Gogo gadget Protoss.
