Kicks so much ass to listen to when you play SC2. Simply because of these reasons:
1. You feel rich and classy when you listen to it, what could be better!
2. A lose with classical music playing is like losing a game of 4 square, yeah you lost but who gives a shit?
3. Because what's more satisfying than stomping face on the ladder with classical music in the background, it instantly makes you the shit.
4. According to some random institute it makes you smarter for reasons that are probably not true but still I can dream can't I?!
5. You feel so intelligent than just glaring a rubix's cube will solve it.
No but seriously I love listening to classical music when I play because I can really clam down and actually think about the game. When I listen to my Metal play list I play like a hyped up crack head with 200 apm but I lose because I just tell shit to go random places and build like 400 supply depots in 6 seconds. When I listen to my techno music I bust out in a rave with my phone only to have the song end and look back to see "Defeat". D'oh. Anyway that's my random blog about classical music and its pure awesomeness.
1) Being a classical musician I listen/practice/analyze this music every day. 2) I pay more attention to the music than the game. 3) If there is any small problems in the piece or if anything stands out (intonation, strings don't come in together, clarinet solo) I immediately need to switch it. Especially intonation.
I usually don't listen to music as i find it distracting since I tend to focus on the music more than the task at hand.
