besiger Croatia2452 Posts September 27 2010 12:48 GMT #1 hi again, so ive been recording some more, trying to improve and find the sound and feel I want, while my work might not be decent as of yet, I feel im improving with everything I do, and hopefully one day il be able to make some real music. In the meantime, here are my 2 latest recordings if anyone wants to take a gander and give me some tips tricks and opinions updated with more crap on 05.12 + Show Spoiler + thanks !

minus_human 4784 Posts September 27 2010 16:16 GMT #5 Seems I missed your blog the first time around, but as that's no longer the case, I must say I found 'Distance' quite good.'Dreamless' had a nice flow and tension to it, and these two above sounded more refined. As far as my own taste goes, I would love to hear something a little 'harder', meaning I'd like a pinch more of dynamism or/and a slightly more alert rhythm. I can understand if you're attempting to express something rather calm and meditative, and not so much energetic. That's certainly the way I perceived your pieces, I was just making a suggestion based on my own likes and dislikes. Also if you would like to consider creating more 'dramatic' portions in your songs, I feel that what you already composed could work quite efficiently as build-up or tension-builder, after which the 'stronger' part could follow. These are only suggestions, I'm not really knowledgeable in the musical field. Likely I don't know what I'm saying. On another note, coincidently I remembered a few days ago that your said earlier this summer that you'll try something like this, and I was wondering if you've ever gotten around to actually create anything. Sincerely, I think you have above-decent potential to end up composing really amazing shit. Keep it up! PS: I mentioned the word energetic, but I don't mean I'd like to feel a different mood or atmosphere, rather just a stronger sound. The mood I found to be one of the best aspects of your work so far, even if it was a little simplistic here and there.

I would like to try do something a bit more aggressive and energetic, but im still trying to figure out a good distorted sound and im still figuring out how to compose in general, im having the most trouble with figuring out good transitions between slower and faster parts and in general linking my riffs together, I guess more will come with time, also I just finally got a decent drum program so thats gonna help a ton I think. Id still love to use your photographs if I ever make anything good though

besiger Croatia2452 Posts December 05 2010 21:05 GMT #8 yarr, so I put up some more stuff for the 2 of you that wanna hear it A new guitar song, and I managed to hook up some keyboards to my setup so Ive been messing around with short keyboard melodies, hope its not too teh suck. And minus_human I used one of your pictures in the last thing I put up and linked back to your deviant profile, hope you dont mind. I somehow managed to maul the picture quality though EDIT: also I just noticed the photo cuts out towards the end, il get on that, no idea how it happened.
