seen it...most of it is just PAY attention and dont speed on roads where people are gonna be walking...if you drive reasonably for the roads and conditions around you, you should be fine tbh...just follow common sense and good driving should keep you fine...keep reckless driving to a minimum except when you KNOW (and this is very rare) that you wont be putting others at risk...usually this is at a circuit...aggressive driving is just bad though...pce out from a street racer ^^

What the hell....its a video of ppl dying in car accidents at the scene (except for that 1 girl in the beginning)..... How does this video drive your point home? Let me rephrase that, what is your point? Driving is dangerous? Be responsible?

Laerties i think his point was something along the lines of "shit happens, try not to let it happen, it screws ppl up"

Take caution when you go out on the highways.. it only takes a second for someones life to change forever..

There are things out there that nobody should have happen to them and that nobody should have to see, just trying to provide some awareness to be alert when you are driving.

I blame the mother who was holding the baby at minute 2 for the death of her child, they have baby seats for the car for a reason.

Several years ago, I saw a victim of a car accident, whose face and body was totally mutilated, and it was a very unfortunate sight to see. It makes me very sad to see innocent people being victims due to the recklessness of other people. I find it even more saddening when they're the victims of their own recklessness. =\

Yea, driving is no joke. Always gotta be careful, and strap in.

The clip where the delivery dude walks out into the street while looking the wrong way I'm pretty sure is fake.... that clip was popular like 6 years ago and I remember everyone saying it was fake... not sure if they should include something like that in their video.

Earlier this year I saw a victim as well. A younger dude drove into a sationary truck on the highway (roadworks). It was a horrifying sight, which I'll never forget. However, I'm very glad I had that expirience - It's like facing reality and never letting go of it. I had watched a lot of these kinds of clips before, but nothing compares to seeing it youself. I'm most certainly always very careful in the traffic! Furthermore, the expirience also made me realize how lucky I am to even be alive, but still knowing it can end in an instant. Of course I knew it already, but I don't think I really got it.

I could not care less about if the reckless drivers live or die, but the lifes they take away from innocent people is really saddening.

Human life is a valuable thing, no matter who it belongs too. :O

Did this thread offend you somehow?

Was this video just posted in the YouTube thread or is my deja vu completely unfounded?
It's a good video, but I think it doesn't serve its intended effect well... should people be scared into driving safe?

This begs the question, what SHOULD be done to reduce the amount of dangerous driving? This doesn't even go into driving under the influence of alcohol etc which new measures are being taken to prevent, at the very least.

Right now (at least where I live), it's a joke to get a licence. Almost everyone can get one without a problem. I feel scared driving with half my friends because frankly they shouldn't be on the roads.

Here you need to pass a written permit test (which is very easy), get some driving experience with parent/teacher, and then pass a road test. The road test here (varies by state etc) consists of driving through some traffic, making some turns, doing a 3 points turn, a parallel park, etc.
I am not sure if making it harder to get a license would make a big dent. Most of the really bad accidents are caused by people who are capable of passing stringent driving exams choosing to drive like maniacs.... or so I believe.

The road test here (varies by state etc) consists of driving through some traffic, making some turns, doing a 3 points turn, a parallel park, etc. That's pretty much exactly what we have to do. But after 1 year (after we pass the road test), we need to go for a computer based 'hazard perception test', which is really, really easy. Then finally we have to be on a provisional #2 licence for 2 years before we get our full licence. They've slowly been increasing the amount of hours practice you need with a parent/teacher over the last 2 years here. I needed 50 hours before I could attempt my road test, then it was at 100 hours, and finally it's at 120 hours. Now there's talk to increase it to 150 hours.
You raise a good point though, making that process harder probably won't change much in terms of serious accidents on the road. But what will?
