don't say you were joking don't say a friend stole my phone don't say it was an accidnet don't say wrong number, because then she'll forever think you like someone else and your chances go to nil i'm amazed at how terrible TL advice has gotten, I understand this isn't a mecca for relationship advice but come on, is anyone even thinking? saying a friend stole your phone - C+, you show the girl you have cool friends who know you like her, but doesn't really get you anywhere. would have been ok if you did this and used it as an excuse to start up a conversation with her, which ends with you two agreeing to get together. saying it was an accident - F-, fail out of life saying it was the wrong number - D, but could have been up to an A- if she already liked you. saying you are for real and love her - C, kind of creepy because she doesn't like you back but apparently it worked, the problem is that now she holds all the cards in the relationship and unless she has zero self-esteem she will try to manipulate you. | ||

Combine options 2 and 4 to get the ultimate result! Just be like "Hey a friend sent you that text but it is really how I feel. How would you like to go out to X on Friday?"
