So after a glorious cheesy win on ladder I decided to reward myself by having a shower. After returning from my shower with a juicy steak I notice that my monitor was black.
So i go to my tower, hit the power button, and nothing. I opened the tower, see that the motherboard lights are still on, so I try it again.
After about 10 times of checking connections and plugs it finally starts to boot up, but after 1 minute it goes dead again.
It is a custom built computer, and I am assuming that there is a problem with the power supply. I'm hoping that any of you dandy people can lend me your knowledge.
Thank you for your time and help,
CheAse

also, you should try the Tech Support Forum

He didnt referred to it as built by him, only custom built. You should post it in the Tech Support forum, the problem sounds too general to be frank.

I actually built it myself, and am usually pretty computer savoy. I was just hoping that maybe someone else has run into this and could rule out the problem by the description of the problem.

there's a multitude of possible reasons, you're going to have to go way more in detail

start the elimination process ... find another monitor, find another video card and test them in the system
|
I think i can rule out overheating, the mobo has a heat monitor that shows it at 25 when ever i can get the chance to boot up

Had a weird problem a while back where my comp would shut off every time sc2 started. I belive i had to reformat my computer and reinstall the graphics card i hard.
Were u on SC2 when this happened?
|
SC2 was open but It was just on the main screen and not running.
I think it is the video card now, I booted up my computer and it was running fine again until the colors went all whak and the same thing happened again.
