lmao exactly what I was thinking.

Well it was fun to see again ^^
Imo the naxx movie he made was one of the best wow-movies so far. (in terms of actual ingame stuff, not machinma, that's a whole other beast).
And yes I am gonna say it, I wish wow still was like back then, in terms of overall design philosophy, it was such a great game back then.
Not this farm X instance 1million times again for badges, because everyone is good, crap. And back then it was actually about guilds, killing bosses, and not this everything is completely focused around gear, and a guild is just there to get your gear mentality that the whole community has devolved to.
And yes this may be a rant like a lof others have done before, but it almost angers me what wow has become if I think back at the old days.

Agree with above poster.. if WoW was like old days, I might still be playing. Awesome movie tho, really brought the nostalgia.. awesome to see some REAL items like Quel'Serrar and Benediction :D
|
I would instantly start playing again if WoW would be like pre-BC WoW again. Great times.

Brings back some good memories of when it was still enjoyable to raid in WoW! Ahn Qiraj was definitely one of my favorite instances (right behind original Naxx).
|
man this brought back good memories racing for twin emps server first was such a rush and when we started CThun he was still bugged haha
|
Very nice movie you put together here. Seems like a fun time.

Did it 3 times for myself and some (noob-)friends. Cant speak for the priest quest, but i heard it was pretty good and hard too.

AQ40 was a terrible instance. It's near the top in a long list of raids that Blizzard released prematurely and had top raiders do the tuning for them. The only reason later instances might be worse was because Blizzard never learned from the trash problems in AQ40.
EDIT: Look at those noob mages in NW and Staff of Dominance.

I would play if it was like pre-wrath. Around s2-s3 arena with overpowered resto druids. Fun times.

All vanilla raids were like that. Raids were always released super hard then a patch made all the other guilds pour in.
AQ was awesome partly because of the sick quest line and server effort needed to open it, cuz of the egyptianish theme, because of nice dynamic fights like twin emps and cthun. I actually also enjoyed huhuran, as it required a guild effort to gather enough nature gear for it. It's awesome personally for me also because that was the instance where I took over raid leading in my guild.
edit: i quit after nax so maybe thats why i dont have anything to compare it with.

SO whats the difference to nowadays? Blizzard releases raid instances very prematurely(on test server), the top guilds do the tuning for them. Then they actually release them on real servers and the instances are cleared after one week. great.

The difference is Blizzard learned about trash (after TK.) AQ40 has the dumbest trash and instance layout in all of WoW.
|
True, that instance sure had lots of trash, and is pretty big even with a mount.
