The difference in ladder activity between leagues

Having just recently gotten into diamond (got in yesterday, yay ^^) I'm pretty amazed at the difference in the level of activity. I could for a week sit at position 10 on the platinum ladder and never be bumped up or down, yet, in the diamond league, the number seems to change like every 5 minutes

!

I do realize that there's a certain level of change in commitment to the game, but, I haven't seen too much difference in skill levels from those I've faced so far, which would have lead me to believe that the activity level wouldn't have been so much different.

Isn't it just that you got bumped into a new division that didn't have 100 people yet?

Hm, I'm not quite sure. As of now I believe there are 100 in the division, though, the scores seem a tad on the lower end. Perhaps that's it.

Yea in a new division you move around a lot, lower levels of that division especially. Once you get higher up in points in diamond you don't move as much.

Here's my division. The top guy seems to have a reasonable amount of points, then, there's a relatively sharp drop off in the 50's. So, I guess that would explain it. You're all probably right, that I was placed into a much newer division.

Yeah, it's definitely a newer division. 800 is pretty low.

You lucky people. The top of my division is crazy. I was once at the top, 2 days later, bumped down to like 15. So hectic.
