You can submit a request for a new court date. Cops tend to put a bunch of people on the same day so they can not spend a lot of time in court. If it gets accepted, there's a chance the cop won't show up on the rescheduled day and it'll be thrown out.

Also, you can fight it based on
1) Incorrect name
2) Incorrect birthdate
3) No fine amount

I generally follow +10% not +10 for speed limits.

But yea tofu above me is right. Also they will bargain 90% of tickets down given the opportunity, anything to speed it up.

Yea it looks like I might go to court, as one I was stopped by the sheriff not the police, I can't afford my insurance go up and am paranoid enough about the point system despite not having any points taken off in the past.

EDIT: Also the information has yet to be submitted so I can't find the amount of the fee till about 10 days, which means I have 3-4 days to pay said fine!

'Im pretty sure most states just add $10 or so to the fine and a final warning if you don't pay by the first date.
