Question to SC2 Zergs

What about TvZ is OP?

The only thing I see that zergs agree on in the SC2 forum is that terran vs. zerg is terran-favored. However, no two people seem to come up with the same reason for it. I've seen

1. Tank overkill
2. Ling weakness
3. Maurauder stim/health
4. Hellions vs. hydralisks
5. Medivac healing rate
6. Mule ease vs. queen difficulty
7. Zerg early game weakness
8. Zerg midgame weakness

all individually blamed for imbalance. Obviously some of these overlap, but I don't see any form of consensus as to what about zerg is imbalanced.

ZvT may be imba, but it would be better for everyone to agree one why as opposed to immediately blaming the strategy you just lost to last and assuming that you lost because of OP terran vs. you just being bad.

It's because this pro Zerg player made an post addressing issues other pro Zerg players have said before. It's a constant uphill battle for Zerg because of a list of issues, not just one big glaring one.

700 Zerg here. These are what I perceive to be the biggest problems (along with devastating anti-air capability which you didn't mention).

I believe 8 is the biggest, but that might incorporate many of those, such as tank overkill and ling weakness. You dont seem to mention the unpredictability of terran BO such as a banshee rush.

Mid game weakness gives me the most trouble. If I don't pump drones until literally the -last- second the mid game push either instantly kills me or I over committed to defense and am permanently behind. Missing a couple larva injections can have similar repercussions, as once you miss one you can never, without building additional hatcheries, get that larva "back." At no point do I ever feel like I'm dictating the pace of the game, it's always following the terran's.

I've been playing around with drops to try and deal with over committing to defense (counter dropping them immediately or as soon as possible) but zerg's drop research costs 300/300 and takes forever, not to mention a couple turrets and a couple tanks, with only decent sim city, can clean up a whole hell of a lot of zerg units.

Idra says the main things are:
a) Terran units in general are stronger
b) Terran has an abundance of early timing pushes, rushes, and all ins that are almost impossible for zerg to scout and all require different counters.
c) Zerg early game is shit, especially with the roach nerf. all other rushes and all ins as zerg (like baneling bust) are extremely easy to scout)

Only 700 Diamond zerg but I feel that the marauders have to much hp. Lings are suppose to counter the marauders and the Roach and banelings counter the marines, but in the actual game that can never happen. With any decent micro Maraduers take all the damage from the banes and marines do way to much DPS to the lings for them to even serve a purpose.
