Some simple question that i want to see how u guys deal with it ^^
1/ When u play a 1st game of the day, my hand is a bit cold and it wouldnt listen to what i want (Micro, scan, mule always miss). What do you guys do apart from playing custom to warm up
2/ When I in the game, when the match start, sometime i lose my concentrate and just do what i normally do (split scv, build barrack). The thing is, when i relize im in a game, I start to get lost. Dunno what build should i use, and what strategy ... And the feeling that I gonna lose come to me. I know its my fault that im not concentrate but, what u guys would do in that case that u got no idea what strategy u gonna use.
3/ Im in a tournament at my area, i know my skill level is enough, but i got no experience with competition. I always nervous. Example, i know i can beat this guy, but nervouse make me play bad, just fully defensive and not play on my top performance. What u guys would do to calm down and play a competition on top of ur skill?
Im just frustrating when i keep losing when the game is balance but 1 mistake cost me whole game
Thanks for ur time

1. Masturbate vigorously to warm up my hands.
2. I usually just wing it.
3. To calm down for a tournament, just trash talk like crazy calling everyone a "disgusting noobie." If you lose, just say you weren't trying.

Just a note, you need a little work on you're grammar, tons of errors. Nevertheless, I got the point, and I have responses(for 2/3)!!!
1) In my first game I spam my APM early(hotkeying CC/Nexus/Hatch, selecting workers, hotkey, select, hotkey), as well as for my first game I wear a set of headphones(I don't like playing with headphones, but since my headphones are bulky enough, they trap enough heat to warm me up!) this tends to warm me up pretty quickly.
2) Just don't worry about it. Simply do everything as normal, and use a normal BU. If that doesn't work for you, just scout his base and make a decision based off of what you're opponent is doing. That will help you get re-focused and keep you confident.
3) Unfortunately, I myself have never played in a tournament or anything similar to it, so I cannot provide any kind of advice here. If you're just straight up nervous, then once again, play normal. Be confident!

yea, you see this? You guys are mean making fun of someone's grammar.
EDIT: I changed "dicks" to "mean" to appear less offensive.

play a million games so you are confident you prepared. Also remember its just a game. Dont make it more than it is or worry about the end result

Just keep playing, your problems will be solved sooner or later.

Lol, I have played a fair few games, just because you play a lot doesn't mean you shouldn't get nervous, when your nervous you are far more alert. Almost every tournament game I have played I have played at my best because of my nervousness. It helps me stay alert and on my game.

1) put your hands under your armpits. It helps warm them up. Rub them, do finger excercises. Whatever, just move them and keep the blood running.
2) maybe you shouldn't start playing until you are fully awake. or ready to think. Most of the time though, I don't really go into a game thinking "I will do this" but that is probably because I play random. Most of the time it is just scout // adapt // counter.
3) There is nothing you can do to magically calm down and relax. It happens even to BW pros on a big stage they are unfamiliar with. You see it all the time in the interviews. "I felt pressure" etc etc etc. "....But I concentrated (or focused) and did my best." This is basically just a lack of high pressure experience. You cant snap your fingers and get used to it, the only way to do so is to immerse yourself in it. Don't think too much about the tournament, think about what you need to do in the game. Just keep reminding yourself, "keep making drones, scout," etc etc.

1) Cold handedness is a result of anxiety and hesitation, generated entirely by your mental preparedness for the game.
Try relaxing your expectations about difficulty or cheesiness, and just sit down to have fun. Maybe vow to throw the first game doing silly stuff and losing points, but you'll make it up later.
If you know you're going to be playing many games, one loss shouldn't stress you out so much.
2) This first happened to me when I learned how to macro in BW. While macroing 2 bases for a push, I suddenly had more units than ever before and I didn't know how to control multiple control groups and I had to a-click the minimap for starters. Practice practice practice makes perfect. I still get overwhelmed and confused, but now it happens when I'm trying to macro 3bases while dropship harassing and microing an army. Guess I need to practice more.
3) If you have the experience and mechanics, just let it show. Don't cheese. Always scout early and identify your opponent's strategy. Play a conservative macro game and attack when your advantage is huge. If you're confident in your mechanics and knowledge, then overall confidence comes simply from knowing what your opponent is doing.
