EPTNP i got my winxp cd so i reinstall my winxp and everything is fine but when i started adding my sound drivers the pc just restars. In the middle of installing the sound drivers my pc restarts( like 4 times already at the same spot ). I got no sound now and in device manager "Multimedia Audio Controller" is not working properly.
I tried downloading some other drivers but its the same it asks some file "ALCXWDM" from my original cd drivers but when i put the path to it and when it starts updating my pc restarts again
....So whats my problem here ... maybe sound card is dead ?? or something else?? . For the record ive reinstalled windows ALOT of times and updating with the same drivers but pc never done anything freaky like this time. I think my sound card is Realtek AC'97 audio.
Experienced pc users pls help !
